I am looking for the best quality product and best price of a blu ray 5.1 or even a 7.1 HD Wireless Home Theater system... What is the best brand to go for?

I'm currently looking at LG's Blu-ray 5.1 systems - there are two, I believe.  They have Pandora on them, which is FANTASTIC.

Here's a great reposnse from one of our knowledgeable buyers:

"If you are looking for a 5.1 channel Blu-ray home theater system, it would be hard to go wrong with Samsung's HT-BD1250 (Sears item number 98629).  This item is the number #1 Blu-ray home theater system on the market today.  Though the HT-BD1250 has a retail price of $550, it is often on sale for $500 or less.  This item has Samsung "Touch of Color" styling, 1000 Watts, wireless-ready rear speakers, an iPod dock for audio or video playback and the ability to stream Netflix, Blockbuster, Pandora or YouTube content.  Most importantly, the sound quality of this home theater system is very good.  If you are looking for a 7.1 channel Blu-ray home theater system, Panasonic's SC-BT200 or SC-BT300 (Sears item numbers 98529 or 98729, respectively) would make great choices as they offer 1000 and 1250 Watts of power (respectively), iPod docks for audio or video playback, HD upconversion, wireless ready rear speakers and the ability to stream YouTube and Amazon Video on Demand content when using its Viera Cast feature.  These units normally sell for $550 (SC-BT200) and $650 (SC-BT300), but can often be found on sale for $50 to $100 less.

If you want more of a surround sound experience, go with either of the Panasonic systems with 7.1 channels (7 speakers and a subwoofer); if you want more styling and simplicity, go with the Samsung system with 5.1 channels (5 speakers and a subwoofer).  I would recommend visiting a Sears store to see and hear each unit in action before making your final decision.  No matter which of these models you choose, you'll end up with a great sounding home theater system."

Sorry but Sony Home Theaters far exceed the sound quality of either Panasonic, LG, or Samsung.

1. Sony

2. Panasonic & LG

3. Samsung

with blu-ray in all honesty streaming in ****** standard definition video content is really unncessary. If your going to watch a movie you have blu-ray, "ITS BLU-RAY AFTER ALL"
