LockedCooktop Cleaning Cream Smears on Kemore Cooktop

How do you stop the cooktop cleaner cream from smearing when you apply it on a Kenmore glass ceramic cooktop?  Assuming that all the directions are being followed that are on the bottle:  what do you suggest?

Maybe too much cream?  Any other suggestions?  Thanks!

Having a ceramic cooktop myself I use 2 different clean terry cloth rags when applying the cream. the first one is to smear it over the top and gently scrub with the second I use to clean up the cream as it dries so that its not left on the cooktop (using a bit of elbow grease). In other words in order to clean the cook top yes you have to smear it then wipe it up do not use a wet rag to clean make sure both rags are dry terry cloth works best for cleaning a ceramic top stove.

Aynfarika's right. Use the cream sparingly, use one clean cloth to smear the cream around, and use another clean cloth to pick it back up and buff it to a nice shine. Mine always comes out super shiny afterwards, like it was brand new.

I use a damp sponge to apply the cream (scrubber side down), and then use paper towels to wipe off. I've had mine for 10 years and this works good for me.

What the rest of you have suggested is exactly what my neighbor did when I thought my cook top was ruined.  Rub cream around with damp sponge and wipe with clean one!  Spotless!
