I like to find easy things to make.  Things that taste good and don't take a lot of ingredients.  I found these brownies and my kids love making them.

candy bar brownies....snickers or milkyway work great.

Ingredients
  • 1 (18 1/4 ounce) package German chocolate cake mix
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (13 ounce) bag Milky Way miniature candy bars, chopped
Directions
  1. 1Preheat oven to 350.
  2. 2Mix cake mix, butter and sweetened condensed milk together. In 9 X 13 pan spread 1/2 of the mixture.
  3. 3Bake for 10 minutes.
  4. 4Remove from oven and sprinkle chopped Milky Ways on top. Take the remaining mix and drop randomly over Milky Ways. You do not need to smooth it out.
  5. 5Bake for another 20 minutes.

Great cookies, super easy to make and loved by everyone. Flourless peanut butter cookies.

18 oz jar peanutbutter (crunchy or creamy) add 2 teas vanilla, 2 cups sugar &   2 eggs. Mix well and spread on sprayed cookie sheet bake 350 degree oven for 12-14 min should be brown and soft. Sprinkle 1 pkg semisweet choc chips on top- let set a few minutes and spread evenly. Cool 10 min then cut into 28 squares then cut each square diagonally. Place in frig until completley cooled. Recut along previous cuts. (usually can just break apart)

Hope you enjoy as much as we do!!

Kraft's Favorite Meatloaf Recipe is AWESOME! Leftovers make yummy meatloaf sandwiches too (on sourdough bread with a little mayo of course!). Try it!  :)

Garbonzo beans.

Straight out of the can.

Add a little salad dressing and they're good to go.

Keep extra cans and an opener in the trunk of my car...

We like miniature pizzas.

You get:

Thomas's English muffins

Pizza sauce in a jar

Put your favorite cheese on top.

And, mike it.

Delicioso!

First, you need about 20 cans of beans from Pantry on sale for about 69 cents apeice.  Next, a 24 pack of S. Pellegrino mineral water for $19.99.

Then, you favorite flavors of Ramen noodles, usually about $1.49 for a 6 pack.

One thick, microwavable bowl.

Crush the noodles into the bowl, add just enough water to cover them, and microwave.

Add the flavor packet, stir, and add the beans.

Congratulations, you can now live for a month, on less than two dollars a day.

Actually, that IS broadening my horizons.

The first canned treat was cold Spagettio's out of the can...

They aren't bad, after having cold ham and eggs out of C-ration cans, in the Army...
