I tried various powerful sanders and I'm not careful with the contours of my workwoods and sometimes damaged the design. I'm just a beginner so I'm forgiven but this sander from craftsman gave me dexterity never to damage any contours. Now I'm back to the heavy duty sanders and was able to perform with precision. This itm is best recommended for beginners.
