bought this ratchet almost 2 years ago, used it professionaly 5 days a week and it out performed my I R and my Snap-on hands down before it wore out. not a better one for the price on the market
This is a good air tool for the average home shop mechanic. It offers a fair amout of torque, and is fairly small. It is not as compact as my Snap On, and the side exhaust (even though it rotates) is a pain for me. The priceing puts it as a great tool for the money. Mine is used every day in a dealership, and I hope to get a lot of use from it. The only downside is the throttle trigger. It is plastic with a plastic tool housing. I forsee it to become brittle and break off from being exposed to oil and other fluids. Overall, very good. A little better throttle design would make it great.
I finally redeemed my SYWR points and got this gun for free, and I could not be more happier. I'm a mechaic and I use this on a daily basis. All my co-workers have nothing but bad things to say about Craftsman air tools, but this ratchet easily outperforms their IR ratchets. Has nice power, and the exhaust vent can be redirected by spinning an exaust port on the bottom of the ratchet. Add a flexible hose connector, and I don't think you will be disappointed.
