“far more than I expected”
Craftsman 10" Single Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw (21237) —
For the money, I expected a so-so saw with so-so accuracy so-so durability and many annoying design flaws. What I go was a great saw with great accuracy fantastic durability and very few annoying habits. I've had this saw for a couple years now and honestly, most of the time-it sits and does nothing. But, once in a while I give it a heck of a workout. 3/4" oak floor didn't even make it blink. But what really got me was this last project. I really beat on that motor with some gummy nasty pressure treated pine. I was notching some 6x6s (which I had to cut half on the draw) Really made the motor grunt. Hard enough that the breaker popped. Once I re-set the breaker ( and turned off a few lights) I went right back to work and finished the job. The deck has a herringbone top which gave many opportunities to test the miter accuracy. It passed the test with flying colors. Can't say enough about this saw. I got all my money's worth out of it and then some. The only annoying habits are the laser-not quite bright enough (to be fair, could be related to all the gunk on the lens.) and the guard has started sticking in the closed position. -- both fairly minor issues.Craftsman 10" Single Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw (21237)
