I've used this saw along with my radial saw for crosscuts and miters. I occassionally will put a triangular square up to it to check it's on-going trueness, and so far it has kept it on both crosscuts and miters, I mean RIGHT ON THE MONEY trueness. I don't use the laser because it's not dead on true.... read full review »

Good saw but make sure you check the adjustments before starting a project. I used it out of the box and messed up half of a room worth of crown molding before I checked the factory angle settings. The 0deg stop, 45deg stop, AND the fence were all off by about 5deg. It took 30min to get them right.... read full review »

I purchased this saw a couple of months back, but am just now getting around to reviewing it. For starters, the stand was easy to assemble and is held together with good ol fashioned bolts and nuts, which, along with the adequate but not overly heavy weight of the metal stock, makes for a pretty sturdy piece that supports the saw well. Even so, the entire assembly (with saw) is light enough to pick up and move effortlessly. The power of this saw really impessed me. Mind you, most of what I've cut with this saw is pine, but I've cut everything from 3/4" corner trim to seasoned 4X4's, and so far,... read full review »

Ive had this saw for about a year and in this time i have remolded 2 houses ,cut over 2000 sq ft of sure lock flooring, endless framing jobs, and swapped the blade with a mason blade and erected 2 carports cutting 4" and 3" support and vertical beams, and with the mason blade have cut miters on about 800' of border block with lots of miters, the saw does need to be tuned for the miters at time but in all a GREAT ,TOUGH saw that's paid for its self over and over again and is still functioning like new.

We've had this saw for about 3 weeks now and it's great. We have used it so far to cut molding that goes around doorways and even crown molding. The clamp it comes with is great for securing the wood and the laser is spot on. The stand is sturdy as well. I purchased this saw when it was on sale for about $119.99 and it was a great buy. I would have bought this saw for the regular price also. The included stand makes it a great value.

We were looking for a lite weight saw that we could move around easy to our various projects. Our big dewalt is more cumbersome to move all the time. This is just what we need for quick jobs. Seems to have enough power. The only thing we don't like is the slide out suports slide out when you don't want them to on the off side when cutting pieces rept. Other than that, seems to do just fine.

I bought this saw when I was 14 and one of the main reasons I bought it was the cost. It works well for the price but could be improved. One of the downsides is the laser, I only use it to get close then line the rest up without it. If you are on a budget or are only going to use it once in a while then this is a good saw but if not I would go for a little better quality.

I love this saw! The laser is dead-on, and the stand is a great bonus. I've completed two projects with this saw in the last month, and I don't have one complaint.

I bought this saw prior to beginning a major home overhaul. The stand is nice to have. The laser quit working almost right out of the box, but I'm not a fan of the lasers anyway. It works well for framing and deck lumber. However, it's a pain to use for finish trim. The fence is not true from one side to the other. I use my own angle gauge when setting the bevel angle because the indicator on the saw is not accurate. The single-direction bevel is also quite inconvenient. Bottom line: this saw is acceptable for someone looking to frame a garage or build a deck, but I would spend the money for a...

I struggled with my circular saw trying to cut angles on landscape timbers marked by my son's protracter for a day before I wised up and purchased this saw. It was on sale, but would be a great bargain if it weren't. I went from 5 minutes a cut (with low accuracy) to 15 seconds with precision! The only bad part of the saw was the "clamps" that were suppose to hold the wood down. The screw on the left one stripped with my first attempt to use it, and the one the right doesn't even fit into the hole it's supposed too. Poor manufacturing there. Turns out, I don't need, and wouldn't use those anyway.... read full review »

This is a fantastic miter saw for the price. For home users and DIY'ers, there's absolutely no reason to pay more money for anything else. Once my saw was adjusted (minimal needed), it works as intended. Pay no attention to any other reviewers who blame the saw for not be aligned from the factory, they should've read the instructions and understand that they weren't paying $700 for a high-end saw. My only complaint is that they should include an allen wrench to adjust the fence. Also, a little WD-40 on the metal bars for the extension sleds will help move those a bit better in and out. I never used a power miter saw before, but I was able to make 100s of cuts for balusters and railings. I am very happy with my new porch railings and I could not have done it without this saw. I am inspired to try more projects with the saw. The base seems very sturdy to me. The laser was helpful and visible in daylight shade. The fence and all other adjustments checked true right out of the box. The extension arms are sturdy, but the stop blocks are too small. The laser has it's own switch, so if you don't need it you can turn it off, the saw would still be a bargain without the laser.
