Craftsman 10 in. Table Saw —
Purchased the last display (or in stock) model after calling on 10 different Sears stores within 150 miles of home. Got a great deal as they took an extra 10% off for a few minor parts missing (which I received four days later in the mail). I did not want to pay the overwieght delivery charge so it was worth the effort.
I had an older Craftsman contractor saw that was very good to me but wanted a bigger motor and dust collection. Though this model doesn't have a dust collection port, dust collection was solved by building a mobile base, adding a 52" Biesemeyer fence and router table at the other end, both tolls with dust collection ports. I knew I would be building an extension table for the fence so the steel wing extensions were of no consequence to me.
So far, the saw has performed to expectations. The only reason durablility and reliability are not rated 5 is lack of enough time spent using the saw (3 weeks ownership).
I spent a lot of time getting info off the Internet - saw specs and reviews. Until you spend $500-$1000 more for a saw, you won't get a better value than this model or the 22114, the next step up with a couple more bells and whistles.
