The Craftsman 13 amp Circular saw blows the dust away from the cut making it easier to follow the line. It has good power for my home project needs. The laser is not accurate for long distance it hits the right spot close to the saw but can not be lined up for longer distances.

Powerful and precise. Its drawback is that it doesnt have a carrying case.

This is a great buy! I bought this for my first circular saw and can't complain. I like having the laser guide to help mantain a straight line.

My husband uses this saw for small woodworking projects and it works great. Cuts nice and even but can be very loud for little kids ears. Has lots of power and it does make a great fathers day present....

Works great as advertised. I was able to cut sheets of plywood and pegboard to my desired size without any hitches. The built in Laser Trac light is a nice feature.

The fact that it's corded means that you'll never run out of juice. A must have for the home do-it-yourselfer!

So far works great. Feels and seems heavy duty. Doesn't weight too much but is solid - just right!

Others have said the laser is a must, I found I don't really need the laser as I usually use a straight edge as a guide.

I tend to forget to turn off the laser when I do use it.

I bought this Craftsman circular saw with the intent for it to be my main saw for a long, long time. And it looks like I made a good decision.

The blades are easy to swap in and out depending on the material you need to cut. Simply unscrew the nut and washers with the handy wrench that inserts back into the saw and put the new blade on. The laser track is nice but you'll still want to make line measurements on the wood to follow. It is precisely straight but that is just my recommendation.

For those reviews that complain that the unit is too loud, it is a saw so it is going to be loud. A carrying case is a valid gripe on this saw but I don't see how Sears could provide one given the low price. Compared to other decent entry level saws it is around half the price.

Overall it is a good Craftsman circular saw at a great price. You can hit the ground running in just a few minutes after unboxing it.

I bought this saw to replace my Craftsman saw that I'd had for several years and destroyed. I was happy with the previous saw and decided to buy another Craftsman. So far, I am happy with my purchase. I love the LED light that comes on as soon as it is plugged in because it gives me a visual telltale when I forget to unplug it when I'm finished. The quick adjust depth handle seems flimsy but it has worked fine.

I got this saw while it was on sale. For the price this saw is loaded with awesome features. The work light make it easy to see where you are cutting and the laser helps line up your cuts so they are straight everytime.

Nice rugged construction (A little on the heavy side) But is great for the home ownew or do it your-selfer.

A really nice saw for the money. Holds up to my abuse and that is saying something, Sometimes I even let my husband borrow it. I just finished a sign for my Dad's shelter house, he will love it!

this saw is perfect for a homeowner looking to pile up some necessary tools for projects around the house without spending alot of money as usual i waited for it to go on sale and used a coupon and got it for 39 99 .i wish it had a case but i cant complain considering the price a quality budget tool that does the job

I was working on tearing down my old deck to prepare for the new one and in the process my trusty old Craftsman 2 hp circular saw gave up the ghost. The good news, if such a thing is possible at that point, is that my saw died after it finished the last cut I needed from it. Rest in peace, my old friend, rest in peace.

Out with the old and in with the new!

I went to Sears today and was mulling over my choices for a new circular saw. I saw the usual suspects hanging on the display wall, Skil, DeWalt, Craftsman, Porter Cable, Bosch and so on. I picked up the Evolv saw and at $40 it was sure light and anemic feeling. Skil was better and DeWalt was okay as well, but the Craftsman 13 amp saw had many more features than either of these two and the price was parked right in the middle. The choice was clear.

I got my new saw home and opened it up. According to the wife I am somewhat of an enigma in that despite the fact that I am a guy, the first thing I do is look at the owner's manual....

i've owned my 13 amp craftsman saw for appr 8 years and it has never let me down....i would buy another one without hesitation if i needed it but the way this one works i don't think i will be buying one anytime soon,the blades however could be better, so i use a diablo or dewalt,other than that ,no problems with the saw...

I have to say that out of all the different circular saws I've owned, the one I keep coming back to is the Craftsman 7-1/4" corded circular saw for its rugged cxonstruction, and capable motor. This saw just will not lug down on the thickest hardwood I've put under it! My latest I got as a Xmas gift way back in 1991, and it's still looking and running like new. Not sure when, if ever I'll need to replace it, but if I do it'll be another Craftsman to be sure!!!
