Craftsman has created a must have here!  Plenty of power with the freedom of cordless.  Battery life is incredible with the regular drill/driver settings but is reduced quite a bit when using the hammer setting but that is expected.  However you are getting TWO batteries that last so you should never...

Great potential falls short

This drill has the potential to be a great drill. It is easy to use and the batteries last a reasonable period of time and charge quickly. My problem is that drills and driver bits keep coming lose and falling on the floor, or ground, as the case may be. Even when I tighten the chuck and tight as possible... read full review »

I've had this drill for two and a half years. Up until the last couple months, I've had no complaints. It has plenty of power, even as a hammer drill. The battery lasted half a day of continuous use. The battery is beginning to wear out now. I can use a battery for about 30 minutes at a time now. Otherwise, it's still a really good drill.

Hammer Drill is Junk

This is the worst example of a cordless hammer drill.  Shame on you Sears for using the good trusted name Craftsman to put out such junk.

Purchased this drill to replace an old Sears corded hammer drill. Had reservations in purchasing a cordless hammer drill. Being an engineer and  contractor I cant wait for batteries to charge or tools to under perform. Having the case, the batter, and charge are great.  I recommend this product to all my subcontractors, family and friends.

Being an engineer tends to make me curious and reserved on products and rating them. To many people buy an item use it once and rate it at 5 stars. With that being said, I would give this produt a 4.9, since there is always room for improvement. However I cant...

This drill is a stud, very powerful, great features batteries seem to last forever.  I highly recommend this drill to anyone needing one.

This Drill has been in use for 2 years and 10 months without a problem at all.  I've used an electric drill that I thought was quite but this one amazingly quitter.

I do allot of drilling into wood and metal and the controllability is excellent with the HI/LO gearing and the variable speed adjusts very smoothly for excellent control when working on things.  I also work with PC circuit board and can drill holes with precise control.

I think the weak link to the Drill is the Batteries with the Fast Charger sold with it.

The 19.2 volt Batteries are I believe 1.3 Amp Hour NiCad...

I use this drill for everything from driving screws to drilling holes.  It has a good balance, nice power and decent battery life.  It's not as nice as a Milwaukee, or DeWalt, but head and shoulders above anything else.

If using hammer option, buy a lithium battery for it.  NiCad batteries don't last very long.

I just wish the C3 line-up was American Made...

The C3 Hammer drill is terrific.

I'm involved in a rather lengthy home remodeling effort, requiring a lot of drilling and driving long screws.  I have a "cheap" 1/2 inch SDS hammer/drill that I've been using to drill into concrete block.  I broke the chuck on that drill, after several days work and while drilling half-way into a block. I used a corded, standard drill to finish the day, but that was some rough going at times. The drill bit is small, provided in the box for for 1/4" tapcon concrete anchors, so I really needed another hammer drill that would work with that drill bit.......

I already had a C3 driver drill that...

A Must Have!

Ever try to drill through concrete or cinderblock with a regular drill and masonry bit? Good Luck with that! I bought this drill to be able to easily drill through whatever to install cable and to drill into cinderblock and concrete in my garage to hang tracking and hooks with tapcon screws. This is an excellent drill with lots of speed and power, exceeded my expectations.

Wish I had this drill when using an old drill hanging a flatscreen above a fireplace with just three holes, two hours later, and three broken bits. This baby would have done it in three minutes! Don't use to drive screws though,...

excellent product

I've had this tool for years and it's been used almost daily not only by myself, but by other volunteers at Habitat for Humanity sites-it gets used a lot AND abused a lot. It's never let me down and replaced a Milwaukee that cost over twice as much. The levels and light have come in handier than I thought they would and power has always been great enough. If you don't use them, you do go through batteries, I've probably used up 2-3 because they were the one that didn't get used and charged. If used correctly, bits don't fall out (don't use the hammer feature unless needed and then check chuck for... read full review »

I bought this drill a couple of months ago to replace an older dewalt 18v drill which I never liked. I needed a hammerdrill and I went to Sears for 2 reasons, first because after pricing around, they had the best price on what I needed by a pretty good margin, and two, I still have a 12v craftsman I bought 15 years ago, used it to remodel an old house, including drilling many tapcon holes in old brick, and it still works even though the batterys are shot, although the armature recently developed a flat spot, but did I ever get my moneys' worth from it!  I've used my new 19.2v to remodel the...

one tuff hammer drill

so i needed a drill that would handle anything, something portible and i did not want to spend a ton of cash on it. i looked at the other brands and did not like them, plus they cost 3x as much. i have other c3 tools and know they are built to last, so i picked up this drill. it has everything one could want in a drill and more. it drills holes in bricks like they are nothing. the battery last a long time too. me and my boss had to drill holes at work, she has the "yellow" brand and my drill left her in the dust, plus she had to use '100 of power cords. i love this drill, it is powerfull and at...

Works great - Plenty of power

I needed to drill a series of holes for concrete screws and had them done before I knew it. The drill had plenty of power and I like how it feels in your hand. It is well balanced and feels really solid. It runs smoothly and the speed control is precise and smooth.
