“Reliable Press”

Craftsman 12&#34 Drill Press 21914 — 

I've owned many tools throughout the years and still have an old Craftsman 100 table saw (circa late 1950s - 1960s) that is still performing well. I feel this drill press is in the same great class. It is a solid performer. The best feature I've found is the digital depth gauge. It truly stands above other presses I have used in the past. My main use is for wood projects such as mortising and extremely accurate placement of holes for furniture making. I disagree with other reviews regarding the laser. It works great if you don't overtighten it. Also, the LED light works well and gives me enough light to see my projects. In all, the drill press is well made and should give you many years of service. After all, it's a Craftsman!
