“Great Vacuum”
I bought this about a month ago so it isn't "seasoned" yet. I've used it to vacuum my two workshops and it does a good job. When I bought it, I asked if there was an extension hose and they sold me the one in the store which was 10' and cost $40. After I got home, I got on line and found that they sell a 20' hose for $25 (available only on line), so I returned the $40 hose (which was their professional line) and ordered the 20' hose. It is made of the same stuff as the one that comes with it.
It is relatively quiet and powerful. I wish I would have had it several months ago when one workshop flooded!
I have two minor complaints. The first is advertising it as 5.0 peak hp. There isn't anyway you are going to get 5 hp from that motor! It is approximately a one hp motor (although they don't tell you that, I measured the power consumption - 1100 watts = about 1 hp for a motor). Five hp would require about 5 times the power or 50 amps at 115 V. I think some one in their advertising department came up with that gimmick.
The second is that if you are vacuuming up much dirt and dust, you will want to clean your filter often. Everything is sucked into the filter where it cuts down on the air flow. I just took it off and banged it on the inside of my trash can then replaced it.
