“It's cheap, I;ll give it that. ”
I bought this saw several years ago, but have used it very little. I would think that in total, it probably had less than 20 hours of use in it. It recently failed during a very minor amount of use and the engine began smoking and began to seize up. The arbor is too small to use anything other than a regular blade, and a dado will not work due to it's arbor size and limited power. You really get what you pay for, but I would've expected a table saw to last a little longer with no more use than it gets in my house. The fence is never accurate and I always had to use a framing square in combination with the fence to insure that it was straight. I finally built a sled that runs in the rails to insure I get an honest and true cut instead of that infuriating fence b/c it never lined up straight. A bargain really isn't a bargain if you spend more time correcting it's short comings than you do using it. If you need a saw to just make quick and dirty cuts on soft wood this is probably fine. If you plan to use it to make any sort of precision cuts forget it. Get a medium or heavy duty saw that will actually be more than a door stop.
Overall, this saw in combination w/ a ******** Router that I recently bought has made me decide to look elsewhere for tools. Craftsman used to stand for quality products, but it seems that ship has sailed. Hello DeWalt and Porter Cable.
