Great Plow for the Money

I agree with the reviews that discuss that the assembly instructions could be improved; however, I took my time and was able to get it figured out and assembled within three hours time (after a couple of moves that I had to undo and redo). In particular, it was difficult to get the blade pivot shaft assembled and operating properly but once that was done, things went smoothly. I use the blade with a 42" Craftsman Professional Garden Tractor and purchased wheel weights (Sears #2445) and tire chains. I have not had to use the tire chains and plan to take them back -- the tractor with the wheel weights (only) has provided sufficient traction to get the plowing job done. I plow a blacktop driveway that is approx 20 feet wide and 130 feet long with a slight curve and a constant downward slope. I've read the reviews about some people having trouble with very deep snow but I think that one has to keep in mind the size of tractor and blade -- of course there must be limitations at some point but I have not experienced any in the south suburban Chicago area where we do get a fair share of lake effect snow.
