Spring 2005, a friend bought me this tool set in exchange for shoveling off his roofs and walks for that Winter of 2005 to 2006, while he wintered away from our beautiful high altitude city of Leadville, Colorado. I selected this set after comparing all the sets offered in the catalog. I have a small... read full review »

Review on Craftsman 145 pc 6 pt Tool Set, part 34145

This is an excellent set of tools to use as a base to grow upon. Throw in a few screwdrivers, wrenches, and such (they will fit into case center), and you are good to go.

The trouble is the plastic case it comes in. There is a latch which...

My husband has a love affair with Craftsman tools.  He gets a yearly stipend from the company he works for as a mechanic to buy tools.  He prefers Craftsman because of their dependability and promise for replacement if any tool breaks they will replace it free of charge.  Sears is the best so get Craftsman tools and you will never be disappointed.

My family has always used Craftsman tools.  I have bought a set to put in my car in case i need it.  It has become very handy and dependable when i have needed to work on my vehicle.

I always buy Craftsman tools because they are guaranteed for life.  Did have one hack saw that broke and they replaced it with no questions.

can be a great buy

If you are looking for a starter set, this is it. Doesn't contain fluff like bits and what not. All 6 point sockets and combo wrenches. This will be perfect to grow into. I waited and was able to get this set for 99.99. This set will grow with me!

All Go..........No Show

Best value for the money...no fluff and stuff in this set, plus room to add in a few extra wrenches and extensions for the sockets.... GOOD DEAL..

Best craftsman toolset out there!

This is an excellent tool set for anyone. While it is quite expensive to buy on a regular day, this tool set sometimes comes on sale and can be had for under $100! This set is all meat, and when they say you get 145 pieces, you indeed do. None of those useless screwdriver pieces that are also called "bits." If you're looking for a craftsman tool set - this is the one to get!

Nice set but check the wrenches when you buy. It is supposed to be an all 6-point set but I have a 12-point wrench in mine. Gonna take it back and see if they'll give me what I was supposed to get.

Great starter set

For anyone looking to buy a starter set, look no farther. While I have several tool sets already, I just had to have this one for the variety of 6-point sockets, I wish I had found this one years ago before I bought all the things that I did.

Most complete set for the money

I just recently purchased this set. When this set went on sale, I just had to have it. It covers the most complete range of sockets in a set that I've seen for the price. It does not include any 12 point sockets. One of my sockets is fouled up and has to be replaced. The case is nice because it has a place to carry additional tools. However, I have the same problem with the inner cover that is mentioned above, and have already had to pick up the small sockets a couple of times. I have an older set of sockets from Sears. On it, the latches have both broken off the case. I expect the same to happen... read full review »

Excellent serious tool set

This is a wonderful tool set and I absolutely love it. I use 6pt whenever possible, which is pretty much all the time except on some head bolt fasteners that are 12pt. The 6pt is much less likely to round off the fastner than the 12pt. Excellent add-ons to this set are Craftsman socket extension set, breaker bars, and flex head ratchets. So far I have bought two of these sets for my shop and I plan to pick up another soon!

Best small Craftsman set

You won't find a better value in small Craftsman sets. No filler pieces, no frills, just 6-points.
