Really a nicely built machine. Of course, the 17 H.P. Briggs & Stratton Engine is a marvelous power plant, my last lawn tractor had a 12 H.P. B&S Engine and, with proper maintenence, it's still running after 21 years. The larger battery should provide sufficient starting power for several seasons when... review »

I just bought this tractor to replace my old Craftsman of 11 years. Well, the first two days with my new tractor I had to level the deck, tighten bolts, grease fittings and place cotter pins where there was none. I never had to do that much work on my old tractor in 11 years. SO, I TOOK BACK THE NEW... review »

Bought this LT2000 tractor to replace a 16 y.o. Craftsman 21 HP 2-cylinder. Can't believe only 1 1/4 gallon gas tank. Last one was 3 1/2 gal. Also bought 14" snow plow blade, wheel weights, and chains. Used it first time yesterday to move 5"+ snow and ice. NO problem except for by the road where the town plowed in the end of the driveway, we had to shovel 3 ft. (much better than shoveling the whole thing) to get a start with the plow and take 1/2 scoop to get through. I hope this mower lasts as long as the last one. Couldn't pass up the price either $999.99. BTW the old one is still running but... review »

I purchased the LT2000 in July 2008 and couildn't be happier. It definetly takes the work out of mowing your yard. The only thing to watch out for is it's real easy to gouge the grass if the setting is too low. I had this problem only on the left side rotary. After some minor adjustments, The tractor does a great job. I did have a problem with the fuel cut off switch. Other than that, It's a terrific tractor and worth every penny. I have an acre of lawn and i'm looking forward to spring time. Craftsman builds a great tractor and Sears backs what they sell. It's a great combination.

After looking at other lawn tractors I settled for a Craftsman because of it's dependability. I was not disappointed. I have over 3/4 an acre of lawn and many leaves in the fall. I purchased the rear bagger with the mower. I only need to make one pass and the mower/bagger picks up the leaves without having to go over it again. I have not had a chance to mow the lawn with it yet but, I expect I will not be disappointed. The only thing is that I wish I would have spent the extra amount to get an automatic transmission.

My dad bought this for me and it is fantastic. I have a big yard to mow with some areas of thick grass. This mower can handle it. It's easy to use and comfortable. I would definately recommend it.

I bought it Jan 09 , it's a 2008 model, Got a excellent deal. This is my first new rider. It works perfect ,I love the Ros switch real handy when needing to back-up. Great for small, and large yards too great turning radius.I also bought the rear bragger, twin hard, love it a lot. I can't find any thing wrong with it. I have 20 hours on it and no problems.

I got mine in june 08 and was almost sad when the grass quit growing.I mow a little over an acre with it and have had not one issue with this mower. It starts quickly and reliably, runs and cuts great and even has a cup holder! And the price was great too. We bought my Father in law one a month later and he too is tickled pink.I bought and installed the bumper on both and it really looks sharp as well as protects the front end of the mower. You can buy this machine without hesitation.

I bought mine on July 4. At $999.99 it is an excellent price. I got the mulch blades and deck wheels. After adjusting the deck for level it cuts flat and smooth. I love the fact I can select the reverse mode for backing up with the blades engaged. I have just under a 1/2 acre and it cuts it in no time. I also love the tight turning radius. The engine is plenty strong and I like the fact of an oil filter and easy drain plug. Best deal for the money by far.

We have a wonderful 1.3 acre yard that needs lots of mowing and this little gem came on sale just in time. With the optional mulching kit, this great mower did the job and did it well in a very short amount of time. Powerful motor/manual transmission. Comfortable seat and even a cup holder! Very pleased with this mower!

I purchased this lawn tractor over the summmer. It is a good buy for the money-$999. It works good on regular grass and on FLAT areas. I would get the optional wheel kit if you are going to use it on sod. My yard has both. Once I got the wheel kit on, the yard looks just as good as a push mower. Be careful on hills...it tends to scalp them unless it is up high. The gas mileage on this engine is pretty good.

I bought this mower after having a Craftsman for 15 yrs. I figured if I could get 15 years out of one, might as well get another. This one didn't let me down, it is great. It has a strong B&S motor, cuts smooth, and its a comfortable ride. I hope this one last 15 years plus!

I purchased my tractor two years ago and couldn't be happier. It is a solid tractor and runs great. It takes much less time to mow my lawn now and I have fun doing so. The LT-2000 is a rock solid product. Thanks Sears!

We purchased the tractor for one purpose only back in October 2008 . Hauling stuff mainly firewood, rocks and yard debree. First thing I did was remove the mower deck and purchase agraculture style tires Carliles Super Lug. The turf saver tires do not work well on dirt and rough terrain. For hauling stuff this tractor has pently of power and the gear driven tranny has no issues with the amount of weight I am hauling.

Received this sweet little tractor August 19th. Went ahead and paid extra for home delivery, as I am getting older and had no one to help me unload it from my truck. I was a tad worried that it wouldn't be assembled on arrival (said that it might need partial assembling on order page), but I was very glad when it arrived and was fully assembled. All I had to do was add gas. Delivery was fast and punctual. After reading manual for a short time I put the key in and to my delight it started immediately. I have close to 2 acres of mostly rocky land and I kept it adjusted to max. height and it does... review »
