Good Metric Set

Bought this to compliment an older 1/4 SAE set that I have. I must say, the newer style of the sockets looks even nicer, from the polish to the very nice laser etching for the sizes. As far as the rest of the kit, the ratchet seems pretty decent and the case itself is very sturdy as well. I don't feel... read full review »

I bought two of these socket sets as gifts. Once I arrived at my home, I opened the boxes to check to make sure everything was there. I was almost impossible to check at the store because the boxes were zip-tided closed. I noticed in one box the 13mm socket was a 3/8" drive socket, not a 1/4" drive...

When you work on cars as much as I do you need quality tools that won't let you down . Craftsman tool are the ones for you. I like this socket set in particular because of the easy to read size indications, this is especially helpful when you are under a car. The case keeps everything together and organized which is a big plus for me. These tools are built to last, are very durable and come with a lifetime warranty. You can't beat that.

Great set for emergencies.

I keep this set of sockets in my garage.  My bigger sets are in the house.  This 17 piece set is great for little repairs.  The Easy Read etchings on the sockets work well in low light situations, like a dark garage.  And having the deep sockets plus the extension is very handy.

close to pro quality

Nice revisions to the sockets all around, close to Matco,Snap-on quality without the horrible price. A set like this though Snap-on would be approx.225.00,dollars and since I have Snap-on,Matco,Cornwell,MAC tools, let me tell everyone none of them are worth 8 to 9 times the price of Craftsman,Danaher corp makes both Matco and Craftsman tools. Why pay the extra, I'm thinking of selling off alot of my pro tools, after seeing the new generation of Craftsman tools,I feel like i paid too much for the others.

rachet

the whole stuff look alright, but the ratchet broke during the first use, it would no longer hold the socket together, it just fall off.
