ok, first off, the engine starts very easy with ele. and by pull after warm...
Engine runs very well, IMO should run at a higher rpm, but this eng makes it's power down low..
The chute would hardly move on mine with the handle, the plastic would flex a bunch before it would turn through it's range..I had to use both of my hands down low on it from fear of breaking it...So I took the whole chute assembly apart and greased it with water proof marine grease, and oh boy did it make it work nice from the handle, hardly any effort at all, If Your's is like mine and you don't want to do what I did, try and spray some oil or white grease in it, try to get under the detent spring of the assembly as good as you can and keep lubing while turning the chute...
Next and very important to prevent your belt from burning up, make sure your auger engagement cable puts enough tension on the auger drive belt...There are two ways to adjust it, on your lever that engages the auger that the cable hooks to there is 2 holes move it up to the top hole, you should feel more tension on the belt...
The other way is the bar angle, on the right side of the push handle there is a sticker with the image of a auger and with that way you put the lever in a different hole...
I was glad I checked mine by taking the belt cover off and seeing the amount of tension on the belt when the auger lever was held engaged, it took a minute to unhook my cable and put it to the top hole... now there is proper tension on the belt
Also guys and gals you can't judge a snowblower with 1 to 3 inches of wet melting snow, it will most often not throw very far and clog the chute...If your condition is like that, push fast and pam will help the slush from sticking to the plastic, you can even spray the whole auger housing after so many times using the machine, a cheap rust proof when the paint gets chipped from small stones and such...
Also after so many hours of use check all the visible bolts for tightness, take care of your machine and it will save you a lot of problems years ahead...
Other than what I had to do I am happy with my snowblower
