I live in the Chicago metro area. I wish I had this at the start of our winter. We have had over 40 in of snow so far. We just got another 10 this week and my wife had enough with shoveling.
For the price this is a very good snow blower. I have used Honda and Toro. But they are expensive and gone in my area. I was looking for a 4 cycle so I wouldn't have to mix fuel. The other brands were all sold out, but my neighborhood Sears had plenty of these to buy.
I did the minor assembly of the handle, filled it with gas and oil (which they give you a 20oz bottle for) and started it up. I have used it twice now and my back is very happy. With electric start, my wife can start it and use it when i'm not home. I even did areas I usually don't shovel and it plowed right through it. That 10in of snow has been on the ground for a week.
Thank you Sears for having a reasonable priced unit.
Also, good tip from another review writer about greasing the swivel for the chutte. It was a little tight at first, but with a little grease on it, I can spin it easily.
