“Too many Jams”
Craftsman 18 ga. Brad Nailer Kit —
Tool starting jamming up the first time that I used it. At first I thought perhaps I was hitting something hard, like another nail, but after more use, the tool began to jam at the rate of 1 per every 3 attempts. With no un-jamming mechanisms, besides the 4 hex screws, each jam added about 5 minutes to the project time. A project requiring more than a few nails quickly becomes rather time consuming. I replaced this model with a Dewalt D51238K, and I have not experienced a single jam in over 100 tries. Based on my other tool experiences with Dewalt vs Craftsman, I am guessing that the better success rate with the Dewalt will continue.Craftsman 18 ga. Brad Nailer Kit
