I love this hammer drill that I got for myself for my birthday.  It has a real nice grip and you feel like you have great control over the drill while you're using it.  The handle is real nice and extremely easy to change or even take off if you want to do so.  I personally like the fact that it is...

19.2 1/2 in drill driver

the drill was utilized this past week to install a patio cover. requirements of drill driver as well as a normal drill. the settings were very good but the drill seemed to make a lot of noise after 30+ minutes of continued use. In addition the drill bits provided are very poor quality. they stripped...

STRONG AND VERSATILE DRILL FOR ALL THE JOBS. BOUGHT A LITHIUM BATTERY TO COMPLETE THE DEAL . USE FOR LIGHT AND HARD CORE JOBS.

Purchased this Drill on the reviews I had read in this forum.  I am pleased with the product and to this point completely satisfied with the product and my decision to purchase it!!

I bought this for some work in my garage that has cinder block walls.  This is the best tool I have ever purchased.  Even without the Lithium Ion batteries this has plenty of power to get the job done.  I was using it with Tapcon bits and screws and they worked like a charm.

One thing to note when buying this, pick up a few extra bits.  Until you get used to a hammer drill, you will destroy a few bits.  You have to keep constant pressure on the screw or as the hammer motion pulls out while spinning it will twist the end and you need a new bit.  No fault of the bit or the drill, thats just...

Superb quality

I own 3 19.2volt craftsman tools (impact driver, a none hammer drill and this one) which I have used professionally day in day out for the last 2 years. The impact driver is the star and the one I use the most but this hammer drill does not disappoint. I find it difficult to imagine a cordless hammer drill that would outperform this one at any price short of a full blown SDS. Just handle one at your local Sears and the sheer quality of this tool I guarantee will impress you. Seriously don't swallow the hype of the other manufacturers and wast your money paying any more.

Save time and rid yourself of the frustration.

I bought this drill for work since I have to drill into brick and stucco quite often. It is extremely frustrating to do this without a hammer drill. I have had to wrap cable around customer's brick houses without this drill and by about the third or fourth hole the drill bit doesn't want to bite anymore even when you're leaning all your weight into it. The hammer drill doesn't have a problem and the best part is that I was able to write the drill off in this years taxes and I have the 19.2 volt combo set at home so it's just another great tool to have in my collection. I bought the 3 year warranty... read full review »

Best of the Battery Hammer Drills

4 years of constant near everyday work in all types of masonry and concrete with perfect service and a chuck strong enough to handle the power of the drill. Best of all, I can interchange my 19.2V batteries. Buy this drill. Don't waste your money and time with Dewalt, etc. This is the best and I have used them all.

Lots of torque in the low end, high end is a little bit slower speed than I was expecting, but still good.  There is an automatic light which is a nice feature when working in low-light locations.  The keyless chuck is very easy to tighten and loosen and doesn't require an iron grip.

One downside, I dropped the battery from about 4 feet onto a plywood floor and it cracked.  Not a huge problem as it still works, but I wonder if the battery pack formula could be reworked to be a little less brittle.

In my job a powerfull drill it's a key for the susscess, i need presicion, speed, and quality, my co-workers use a diferent brands they have been using the same for many years, them i chose Craftsman Hammer drill C3, today i have been working in my company for four years and all my tools are Craftsman. i'm a satelite installer and i use my Hammer drill and my inpact drill every day, and in four years i just change my Hammer drill just 3 mounths ago thats a good average right, while my co-workers have to repair theirs twice a year i don't worry about that, and the best part was when lithium batteries...

Great torgue, great chuck system holds the bits really well, I think becuase the chuck is made of metal and not plastic. I really like the balance and feel of the rubber handle. Worth the price!

An amazingly powerful drill for the price it is listed at, and being part of the 19.2-volt line makes it easy when it comes to maximizing up time. A Hi-Low setting sits on top of the drill, which helps when you start holes on a low setting then drill at a higher setting. I've drilled through concreate and never had to struggle with this tool, and with a quick bit change you will go from drilling concreate to driving screws into an anchor in no time. It comes with 3 setting, hammer, driving, and drilling, which give this tool many uses for the user. The dept stop rod that comes with the drill makes...
