I bought this mower in 2006 from SEARS.Within the first year the bag had a tear and SEARS replaced fairly quickly.From then on the mower seemed louder and louder,didn't bother me much.Had to change the spark plugs and filters often.Stopped using the bag because its fairly small for my yard and time to be stopping and dumping all the time.It does mulch up the grass pretty well never extra grass laying around when I didn't use the bag.In the last year this mower started vibrating a bit much but everything seemed to be cutting well and starting well enough.Well last week when I mowed my husband said "WOW why does it vibrate so much" well I didn't know its been like this for while.So when I began to mow yesterday it got extremly loud and sounded like I had run something over when I went to look the engine had come undone from the frame and was jumping around,I turned it off quickly.When I looked at this and seen my mower was not rusted or anything.No bolts were snapped ,the bolts are still...

I have no shed, and this mower has been parked under my deck for 15 months, including the coldest winter North Carolina has ever seen, including several snowy events. I just checked the oil, changed the filter, added gas, and fired it up for the first time since September 2009 and it is running like a pro. Great job Craftsman and Briggs!

I'd like to add that I don't use the bag only because I like the mulching mode which is helping me to build my turf. I live in a very sandy area and really saw a difference from the mulching vs. the bag mowing for centipede grass growth.

I like this lawn Mower but the second time I used it, the spark plug went out, so make sure you check the plugs frequently.

I purchased this product because it had the sears craftsman name on it. The name used to be a sign of quality, but apparently I've been mistaken. I used the 625 Series self propelled mower for about 2 years, it's had very light use. I now find myself abandoned by the Sears parts department in trying to find replacement parts that are plaguing the ignition system. I am now the not so proud or pleased owner of a semi-new mower platform with functioning drive gear and deck with a new engine but an ignition system thats not worth a spark. In Sear's defense the mower engine is briggs and stratton, but as part of the product they share responsibility in replacing parts and offering assistance with faulty designs. I keep hearing how I should buy American, but I can't help thinking to myslef would this be a problem if I had bought a Honda??? There is absolutley no excuse for this, it's 2010 and we can't make a lawnmower that lasts more than a couple of years?? This is worthless economics, the...

Bought two of these at once; one for me and one for my son-in-law who was moving into his first home. Knowing it was a craftsman we both expected it to work great, and so far they both have performed great. Easy starts, quiet and cuts smooth with it's powerful engine. Just what was expected.

Bought one of these several years ago, can't remember how many seasons it's been through but it just keeps on cutting. I have a riding mower but go to this most of the time to get a bit of a workout in. I have mowed as much as an acre with it. Leaves the grass smooth and manicured and the bag collects extremely well. Only con is the discharge with or without bag gets clogged easily when grass is damp.

Recently moved to a new house. The yard had not been mowed in at least 3 months. I took the mower out of the box, added the oil, filled the gas tank, primed it, pulled the cord once and bam, I was mowing in no time. This mower handled the jungle I had to cut with absolutely NO problems. There is nothing wrong with the quality of this mower. Like anything in life, if you take care of it, it will last!

I looked at several low to high dollar mowers and always came back to this one as a finalist. Bought it and love, love it. I am a small woman who mows myself and although it's a bit heavy, it is still maneuverable. My neighbor was so impressed, he bought the same one.

I Love to mow the grass. Hard to believe? Not with this lawmower. It runs smooth and mulches the leaves so I don't have to pick them up. If I want leaves for my garden, I just put the bagger on and I have instant leaf mulch for the garden in winter. Starts great everytime and restarts are good also.

Love the Honda engine. I've had six craftsman mowers over a 40 year span. This is the first engine that starts easily. The combination of the Sears chassis and the Honda engine is a godsend. Six months later, "mow on"...

Bought a simple Sears walk behind mower for our heavily shaded, half acre, lot back in 1982. About $130.00 with side discharge grass catcher. It was retired several years later, used only for trimming, and lately for high weeds and abusive clearing chores. Yes, it's still working!

I bought this model strictly for fall leaf mulching. Paid far less than the current $199.00 price. I figured I'd return it if it wasn't up to the task... I still own it, because it does the job just fine. Starts like a dream, unlike my 27 year old unit. I expect to be using this mower just as long as my old one.

When purchasing the mower I was talked into purchasing a repair warranty. Mower is great but after limited use it would not start. Taking the mower in for service I was told it had to be "sent off" for repairs and that it would take "several weeks" for it to be returned. After more than a month news came that mower was ready to be picked up. If Sears is going to sell a repair warranty they should have a contract with a local repairer like other brands. How is lawn care going to be done when your mower is down for an extended period? I will not make this mistake again; I will search out another brand to purchase. Another problem with mower is the small gas tank; work is limited by the available fuel.

My first push mower was a very basic and simple mower. Now that I finally purchased this one, I feel powerful. If doesn't choke on tall grass. It starts easy. The bag comes out and goes back in easily. The gas tank is big enough that I don't need to add more gas half way through. The oil dispenser is convenient located for oil replacement. I'm very satisfied with this push mower.
