This mower is extremely dependable and easy to start, even after being idle all winter. Easy to maneuver and not too bad on gas....

After 4 years, i've had to replace the front wheels because the wheels are made of plastic and the teeth grinds down and then your front properlling system quits. My electric start has also quit working, so I have to pull start it now everytime. It does the job but I wish they built more durable products.

This mower is extremely heavy and very difficult to manuvuer. The front wheel drive is very weak and will only assist when you physically push the mower as well. If you have any rolls are small hills in your yard this mower will scalp those areas.

I was looking for a new mower to start the year after buying a new home. Being a woman, one of the most important things to me was the mowers ability to start easy. Not only does it have the key start, but I have never pulled the pull cord more than once to start it. THIS IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN MY LAST MOWER!!! Also, it was easy to assemble & adjust to meet my needs. My only complaint is...this is my 1st front propelled mover & it seems more difficult to self propell uphill. But, with that aside, I could not imagine there being an easier mower out there to opperate.

The Craftmans 190cc 22" mower is easy to start with two options; the electronic start key and pull start. The best feature is the deck cleaning when you are done. No more lifting the mower and cleaning underneathe. Just hook up the hose and let it rip. Great mower.

This mower does not begin to compare with my old (probably 10-15 yrs.)Craftsman Rear High Wheel Front Propelled Lawn Mower, which incidentally, still works well. However, I purchased the new mower as I am no longer able to pull the start cord to start the older model. I have used the new mower over the summer and it has started well each time using the key start, except when I began mowing leaves on the lawn. When it absolutely refused to start I removed the air filter, cleaned it as best I could and it did start on the second try. I do have 2 more major problems with this mower.

1) It blows the grass, leaves, etc., onto the deck of the mower very thickly. It also blows to the extent that many leaves are blown away from the mower before they can be mowed. This results in a messy yard when completed, unlike with my old mower which always left an immaculate yard. 2) When mowing up even a slight hill the front wheels have no traction which results in my having to push this mower up a hill....

I just used this new mower for the first time today and was pleased that I couldn't relate to the problems expressed by others. I ran one bag through and it seemed to fill up very quickly, it would be nice for it to be larger, but it sealed just fine. Then I switched to mulching and the rear port sealed just fine. The side port did accumulate some clippings between the deck and side discharge blockoff plate, but I didn't have any problem with clippings blowing out from there.

I tried one manual pull start and it was super quick & easy to pull. Besides that, I used the electric start, I hope the battery holds up since it looks like it's not available from Sears service! This is a bit disconcerting.

I thought it did a good job cutting grass and mulching leaves. It struggled for traction a bit when I had the cutting depth set too low for the height of the grass, but besides peeling out a little when starting, I had adequate traction for my mostly flat yard. I'm not accustomed...

This mower is packed with features at a very attractive price...but I returned it after one use. What a disappointment.

The mower was easy to set up and started immediately. I had no issues with traction from the front wheel drive and liked the machine's manuverability with the large rear wheels. Being able to control the variable speed drive with either hand is also a nice plus.

It did a great job of turning my Bermuda grass into a fine much. But this is also where the problems occurred. I had mowed no more that 10 or 12 feet and the mower deck was already covered with a inch or so of mulched grass. Neither the side discharge "mulching cover" nor the rear bag discharge door seal well enough to prevent a steady stream of grass clippings from escaping. Not good!

I'm not sure if the problems are due to poor design, cheap materials or bad assembly but all I could envision was the problem getting even worse as the mower aged so back it went.

I did not use either the rear bag nor side...

I LIKE THE EASY STARTING, EVEN WITHOUT THE ELECTRIC START.

I HAVE A FLAT YARD SO IT GET GOOD TRACTION AND EASY TO HANDLE.

IT COULD USE A PADDED HANDLE. WOULD BE NICE IT IT HAD EASIER ACCESS TO THE BATTERY.

I first bought the rear propelled craftsman, it had no traction, wheel just spins as my yard is lumpy and some hills. my hand got stiffed after the job was done, the handle was a bad design. i read other reviews before i bought it, and didn't want to believe it and tried it out for myself and verified all to be true. i returned it after 2 usage.

exchanged it for a front wheel drive, same family line, this FWD doesn't have the 1 lever suspension change that i liked on the RWD one, but it has the electric start. big disappointment also with the traction, i constantly find myself pushing the lawnmower through a few spots on my yard. this FWD model comes with 2 handles, and it's softer, less efforts to hold it down which i like better than the RWD.

The bag on these suck, they are big, and sag, and they cannot really hold that much, if u don't change it before it's full, when taking out the bag, the grass will spill out.

i missed my old troybilt, never buy a craftsman again :(

If you live in the south and need to cut St Augustine grass - do NOT get this mower. The term "self-propelled" is a joke. With the mower wheels set on #9 ( the highest setting) the front wheels on this mower will not pull the mower through heavy/thick grass - you have to push it. It also cuts badly. I over lap my rows at least 3-4 inches and this mower leaves un-cut grass blades standing up everywhere. I would love to return this thing...

This mower is very easy to start with the keystart or using the pull rope. I like how I can change from bagging mower to a mulching mower in about one minute, and its just as easy to change back. It's also a very quiet mower and I like not having to mix gas and oil for it.

Only negative is that it's slightly bigger than my old mower and not quite as easy to manuever. But I'm still glad I switched.

An absolutely great mower! Starts instantly and runs smoothly. The deck wash is a wonderful new feature for me and I love the fact that there's no primer. Just turn the key and away you go! I've never had a mower with the big rear wheels as my lawn is fairly small and flat, but it just moves around so easily. I love it!!!!!

Absolutely a great mower. I love the key start and the overall ease of use. I have never had a key start mower before and the older I get the harder it is to deal with pull start mowers. In addition, the deck washout really helps keep it clean.

I want to thank Robert and the guys at Sears, 44th and Western, OKC for recommending this mower. Great value, great product, great service!!!

The mower works... I purchased my mower from a store only to see it was cheaper on the internet. When asking if I could get the internet pricing I was told "NO" immediately, If I wanted that price I would have to go home and get on the computer and order it. NOT A VERY NICE SALES MAN... I got on my IPHONE went on sears website purchased the mower at about $150.00 less walked back to the same salesman.. He said I knew you would come back to buy... I advised him that I was picking up my order. If these guys work on comission well they need not be so pushy. I got the mower from the wharehouse where all the individuals working back there were nice as well as the Manager who I talked to about the mower. The mower runs great and would not trade it. It cuts my lawn mowing time in half. I hate to give it two stars but My EXPERIENCE really drove down the rating. I shop at sears all the time for all of my tools. I live my craftsmen. GREAT MOWER THOUGH.

I've only used the mower a couple of times, but so far it's great! We did let it charge for 24 hours before the first use. During the first time that I cut the grass, I used the key start several times when I had to move things out of the way, and it just kept starting. Then, it did start with the key a week later as promised.

I was a little unsure about the fact that you could let go of the levers which cause forward movement, but continue to hold the handle bar so that it would not shut off, but it was pretty simple. It is a nice feature if you just want to stop for a minute.
