Worth the price

I've had this jack and stands set for a few years now. It doesn't perform like a racing jack, but it doesn't cost the money or take the space that a racing jack does either. It definitely does take some effort to lift heavier cars, but it doesn't seem like the jack is actually straining; it just doesn't... read full review »

Leaky Jack

From the day I purchased this jack, it has leaked jack oil. I carry it inside the side door of a work van. Just stored on the step inside, the jack oil ran out on the ledge and out the door. In use it constantly needs refilling. Maybe I just got a lemon.

Craftsman 2-1/4 ton Floor Jack with 2-1/4 ton... Reviews

I've had this set for a few years.  I use it for changing oil and rotating my tires.  It doesn't lift very high, and I have to use some pieces of wood to get the height I need, or lift the front, then the back, then the front some more to get all four wheels off the ground.  I went to use it today and it spewed oil out around the plunger.  I pulled the plunger out and was able to pry out the o-ring.  Use something plastic if you can so you don't scratch the metal groove.  There was also a clear plastic washer above the o-ring.  I took it out, but it was a pain, and I'm pretty sure you...

Best Buy for occasional use

This is a great jack for performing oil changes, tire rotations, brake jobs, etc. on your own vehicles and/or you have limited space and want a floor jack. I have a Mazda 6 and a Saturn SL1 and lifts both with little problem and enough height to perform all the basic tasks I've needed to do. It does require more effort due to its size, but it doesn't creak or strain to do so. I've used larger jacks that make it easier to lift because of a longer jack arm, but the entire jack is much heavier and takes up more space, which is fine if you have it and plan on using the jack weekly or daily. I bought... read full review »

You get what you pay for

I had bought this same set. I wanted something to use around the house for simple things like oil changes. I would have to say it did what is suppose to do. It lifted an explorer and an 84 Buick just fine. A higher lift would have been nice. Jack stands seem small but also work great. This is perfect for some looking for a cheap jack and stands. If you are going to use it more than a couple times a year spend some more money and buy a real floor jack.

Tedious and of limited use

* The Pros: Small, light, and cheap enough to be a portable jack solution. * The Cons: Low maximum lift height, handle must be removed from pump mode to lower jack. * Can't lift the back of a Honda Accord. * Can barely lift the front of a Honda Accord to fit the matching jack stands under the car's stand pads. * Moving the handle from pump to release mode is tedious, frustrating, and generally an inconvenience. * I would spend the money on a bigger, better jack

Great Jack & Stand set for the price

I received this set as a Christmas gift. I'm impressed with the quality and the performance of the jack. It's small and light, but powerful enough to lift my mid-size car without too much elbow grease. I haven't used the jack stands yet, but I'm expecting them to get the job done as well. Overally, I couldn't be happier!

good but unrpairable

Sears 2 1/5 ton hydrolic jack. bought this set with jack stands. had it several years and was very happy with it. One warning though mine tipped over when it was not in use the cotter pin fell out of the handle and the handle pulled out and I lost the seal or O ring that goes on the plunger of the pump handle. No one carries parts to fix these so mine still looks brand new and is totally usless

Great Price

I bought this at a great price (29.99) Not exactly for heavy duty lifting but will serve the purpose for most minor tasks like changing oil and rotating tires.

Great Value...

Caught this set on sale for 29.99...and although it's not a do all jack,..it has performed wonderfully...GREAT JACK FOR THE MONEY! Jack stands are plenty for most light duty applications also.

Nice for the price!

I caught a sale and got this jack kit for a great price. It works perfectly in my one car garage on my corvette. If I need a little extra lift I use a block of wood. The front wheels are also a little bit wider adding more stability than other jacks of this size and price range. The jack stands are ok, but I'm not crazy about them! It's performed fine for me since I've purchased it.

Good jack for the money

Picked up this jack recently, already put it to use on three cars. For the money it was an excellent deal. It would be nice if the stroke was shorter or if it could go lower, or if it was a bit lighter, but it's a light duty general purpose jack, not a racing jack, so it's more than good enough.

So low

The price got me. Please DO NOT buy this jack if you have vehicle that sits high off of the road. This jack will barely lift my Toyota Camry up high enough to change tires, definatly not my truck. Very unhappy, and out of state too long to return the item. Seems to be good build quality. Be cafull when purchasing.

Excellent purchase/quality item

Perfect for our needs; works well in the confined space of a single-car garage, too.
