All in all a very good drill/driver combo for the money. I have all Craftsman power tools and for my needs they are plenty good. Don't overpay for contractor grade equipment if you aren't a contractor. Tools like these should be able to handle almost all of the around-the-house jobs you have.
Plenty of power and torque, well constructed and easy to use. A light on the trigger would be nice but not a big deal.
Especially great price since I got them on sale and had a coupon.
It's a great combo but I would like a case for carrying and storage.
Great drill for the money. I use my impact driver daily and never have any problems. Battery life stinks if you do any kind of metal drilling. Once batteries get hot from continuous work they won't charge because their hot. Overall I think its a great drill for the money.
My first week I had the impact drill, i must have drilled 1,000 + screws. All between 3" - 4". None stripped. It was awesome!
Works good, and seems to be a good product, I hope sears stands behind their product.
If they do this will be even better !
At this time after much work these drills have worked great with no problems.
I recieved this product for my birthday! I love it! I have a a lot of projects I am working on and really needed the impact Driver. I had a Craftmans Drill, but i have used it so much and had it for along time it was time to replace it! So i was thrilled to find the Drill and Impact Driver all together in a case! The Impact Drive works amazingly....it goes through cement with ease, along with other things! I really like the drill too...but I knew I would from past experiences. These power tools are wonderful and a very good buy, because it was on sale! I use them quite frequently and they...
read full review »I originally purchased this set to replace a very used 14.4v Hitachi impact driver. I used it constantly for driving screws.
So far, I have had this set for 4 months, use it daily on the job and have found it to work great. Sometimes, I only have to drill a couple of holes or drive a half dozen screws, so, I may not recharge it for a week. I have went 5 days without touching it and still had plenty of battery life to get the job done.
I have found only 2 con's. One is the weight, which isn't really that bad. If you are driving screws or drilling holes above your head all day, this will get very...
read full review »I first used this set in a contest for a handyman show and I got to tell you I fell in love with the cordless driver. This tool packs a punch. I now bought the combo set and use it daily. It made life so much easier when installing any type of screw. The only draw back I have is there are not enough driver type bits such as masonry driver bits. I am extremely rough with my tools and I went through many different types of cordless products. No other products have lasted for too long. Most failed for battery life and durability. Hopefully this will out last the others. So far so good. I would recommend...
read full review »Well balaced and feels great in your hands. First item out of my box for most projects. My wife liked it so much she bought one for herself.
It is just a great product, If I am doing minor repairs on my car, truck or tractor, this is great. I also use it for screwing siding and drywall on DIY projects. It makes my projects go faster and less tiring to me. It is light in weight, but heavy in quality.
My brother helped me add a deck to my front door. He brought along his Sears combo drill/driver impact set. He powered through the beams attached to the house and corner posts. I often had to borrow his impact driver to finish screws started with mine. The compact design allowed him to attach wiring conduit under the deck. He once had more expensive tool brands but swears by Sears now for the value. Toward the end of the day his old batteries were tired but so were we! I checked prices on line today and went to buy a set of my own!
