I have used this compressor for six months three days a week in a commercial application. I install doors and windows part time.
I followed the breakin instructions and had no problems with it.
I like the two quick connects, for I use two nail guns at the same time one is 15gauge and the other 18gauge....review »
For some reason it would only pump up to 20- 25 lbs. and cut off. I was unabe to fill a wheel barrow tire, which only required 35 lbs. Being dissatisfied not being able to correct the problem, I decided to return it and upgrade to a better unit. I found one online that was a clearance item, ordered it...review »

Craftsman 2 gal. Air Compressor with 17 pc.... Ratings and Reviews
I needed a small compressor to blow out my irrigation system and just for misc things around the house. I also didn't want to spend a lot of $$$. This compressor was the perfrect compromise. Craftsman quality and warranty. Small enough to store when I don't need it.
This is a great compressor for around $100. I bought it instead of buying a large tank model because I wanted the ability to take it around to projects easily. I like it because it is oil lube. I had a pancake compressor a few years ago and it died after a year's worth of use. It takes very little to get it going out of the boxbasically put oil in it and away you go. It is light weight, but has good feet on it so it doesn't walk around the floor from vibration. It is quieter than my old compressor and it builds up to pressure fast. I use it for everything from bike tires to a large stud nailer....review »
As a ceramic artist I needed a compressor for both glazing of larger pieces and airbrush detail work. This compressor is easy, compact, has a great auto shut-off once pressure is achieved and is not nearly as noisy as others I've seen. Plus= Sears got it to me right away. I am happy, yes I am.
I own a 60 gallon compress but was tired of having to fill an air tank or run 100+ feet of hose if I needed to do something away from my shop. This portable compressor fits the bill. I recently installed molding in my kitchen and den. During this project, I used BOTH a finish nailer and crown stapler . The compressor operated both with no problem. I was also impressed with the recovery time once it kicked on. Overall, I am very pleased with this product.
This is my third compressor and the second addition to my current tool arsenel as I currently own the Craftsman 33-gal oil-less unit. Unlike my bigger Craftsman oil-less compressor this little unit is quiet enough that I don't need ear protection.
I was looking for a small, portable compressor to use with my finish and brad nailers. Especially important to me was portability and longevity. This unit is about 35-40 lbs and is compact enough to be easily carried up and down stairs and takes up little room in my trunk when being transported.
The compressor fills the 2-gal tank in only a couple of...review »
This is a well build machine with excellent guaging and controls; I use it primarily for tire inflation, but it is capable of supplying adequate air compression for air power tools. I haven't had it very long, but my experience with prior compressors tells me that it will serve my needs for many years to come. The only reason I do not award it a five star rating is because there is not a convenient on-off electrical power switch to switch the electric power on and off when not in use.
needed a small , light compressor to inflate tires balls etc. This product is noisier than I thought it would be, but works flawlessly. light, small , portable. fills resonably fast. and inexpensive.
Don't lose the teflon tape, you'll need it to seal the connections as the included kit is hard to make airtight.
If you want a compact compressor for tires, balls, and blowing off things that you can easily carry around, this compressor will serve you well. I park my lawn tractor in a shed that doesn't have electricity yet. If I need to put air in the tractor tires, I can fill the tank in the garage and carry it out to the tractor. It takes little space in my garage and IF wanted that floor space, at 26 lbs, I could hang it from a hook. I bought it during an online sale in July of 2008 for $99. Two weeks after I got it, during normal use, the plastic hose developed a leak. I took the accessory kit to the...review »
Bought this about 2 or 3 years ago. Used it once for a small project. it then sat in my garage with little to no wear. went to use it this past weekend and the engine quit. Oil looks clean and plenty of it. now i'm stuck with this thing and it isn't covered under warrenty.
I purchased this compressor on a post-Thanksgiving sale for $79.99. I got it home, unpacked it, and put it together in no time. Assembly consists of screwing on an air filter and putting oil (supplied) into the crankcase. The accessory kit was also a snap to put together, consisting of a blowgun, tire inflator, plastic self-coiling hose, and various connectors. They even supplied a spool of teflon tape to seal the connectors, which I thought was a nice touch.
I bought this compressor because my Porter Cable pancake model was much too loud for comfort. It was an oilless model. This unit is about...review »
This compressor is an absolute bargain. I ordered it online and picked it up at my local Sears store. Nice young man even carried it out to my car for me.
This compressor is extremely well built; no corners or shortcuts taken here... it's as solid as a rock and is a very high quality compressor. The user controls are very well laid out, and the owner's manual is excellent; very clear-cut instructions. I've never heard such a quiet compressor before. This would be perfect if any carpenter carries a compressor to a jobsite or somebody's house for finish nailing, or any tool for that matter... it...review »
I just purchased this compressor to run my 18 ga. and 16ga. finish nailers, and after several days of use I am very pleased. The noise level was surprisingly quiet, The unit appears to be built well, controls are easy to operate and appear to be built well, the tank drain valve is great (I will be upgrading my larger framing compressor to this style). As for as performance with an 18 ga. or 16 ga. finish nailer, I believe this unit will do an excellent job and not break your back carrying it around at 26 lbs. As for as running two nailers at the same time, The unit performed very well and we never...review »
I had been using a black and decker air station to fill a portable tank. I burned it out so purchased this little unit after reading the reviews. I am quite impressed. The unit is quite compact so I can put it on a shelf. It does vibrate so you would only want to operate it on the floor but it is light enough to lift waist high without much effort. The oil lubricated compressor is amazingly quiet. Probably the quietest compressor I have used. Also it fills its tank in less than a minute. The tank is small so dont expect to fill tractor tires with it. What I really like about the unit is the 2 air...review »
