Great 120volt compressor.  Hold up great in a personal shop.  The size is great, recover time is good.  Of course depending on what you do.  Most of mine is shop tools (not painting).  Not to loud, but if you are running a shop u would want a  2 stage and not this.  Make sure you pick out the right...

Pass on this one...

Used it for an hour or less, during the initail purchase, then stored it until needed, but now it just keeps tripping my 15A and 20A CB...  I have tried to get with sears on three seperate accounts, but they just keep you moving to another number, and so on...  The two closest sears did not want to...

Craftsman 2 hp Vertical Portable Tank Air... Reviews

Not too bad of a compressor.  When I am using an impact gun constantly or an air drill it is constantly running.  It does not catch up as fast as I think it should but for the money it is not a bad deal.  The Craftsman 33 Gal air compressor is a great deal if you are not using it in a shop every day.  Great for the occasional user.

Power Hog

I bought the craftsman 33 gal, 2 hp vertical compressor to put in my shop 3 years ago. I've followed the break-in procedures according to manual. I have approximately 4 hours on this unit. I was using it at my fathers house doing home repairs and it tripped a 15 amp breaker. I finished the job with 1.5 hp Chinese made compressor. Trying to trouble shoot the problem, I went to my sister's home a block away and plugged it in and it tripped another 15 amp breaker. I went home and plugged it in to a ground faulted 20amp outlet and tripped this breaker due to the compressor not turning over. The motor...

I have this compressor and I like it but I think it would be tons better with a little bigger pump.  When I'm using it a lot it's almost always running to keep the preasure up.  The tank is bigger so it's not too bad but could easily be better.

Power HOG !

Bought it today and returned it today. Compressor tripped the breaker every time it turned on. Supposed to run on a 15 A circuit- kept popping 20 Amp breaker. Unless you have a dedicated line- don't waste your time. Also- it took me 5 minutes to purchase and 45 to return! Staff really didn't want to bother with me.

33 gal. air compressor

Works good and exactly like advertised. It would be best used in a large garage where it doesn't have to be moved due to its size. Just 2 real negatives - it is loud for a confined space and it requires either laying down or tipping the compressor on its back 9heavy) to drain the air when turning it off for awhile. Neither are easy for older or infirm users. Other than that, very easy and pleasant to use.

2 hp, 33 gal air compressor

I've had this less compressor less than a month and can't rate the durability. It is replacing a Craftsmen belt driven oil compressor I've had for 25 years that is still running on the original belt (I have changed the compressor oil). The belt has started slipping and the compressor is only good for inflating tires. I hope the new one will perform at least as well.

Compressor with tool kit

I picked this up on a great sale, came with air tool kit for free! This is one of the most used tools in my shop! For the money, I am very pleased with how versatile this tool is. The only tool that I have encountered that kicks on the compressor continuously is the craftsman palm sander. Other than that, it stays really quiet.

Craftsman compressor is valuable-

Our Craftsman compressor is very reliable and tough. However, for smaller jobs this one is a bit too large. It is worth it to buy the correct size for the project. Also, you might want to pick up attachments as you need them- it makes the job easier. This compressor is worth the expense if one has larger jobs to tackle.

Air Compressor - model #16732

I purchased this compressor for my son. He works cars and motorcycles both professionally and as a hobby. This compressor exceeded his expectations. Continuous use was able to keep up with his tool usage. Recovery time was minimal. The only thing was that it was loud but was still quieter than his previous one. A great addition to his garage.

Excellent value for the price

I have found this compressor to be an excellent value for the price. It is great for the average homeowner and will accomplish most tasks that the average homeowner will do. The included tool kit is a great starter pack, although most people will not use the air hammer very often. Once again, Sears has done me right!

Works Great!!

I purchased this mainly to use when working on the car. I quickly found it to be a very valuable tool for my garage. Also works great with a nail gun when working around the house. I've owned it for about 2 years now and have nothing but great things to say about it. Only negative is that it's very loud, but what compressor isn't? Thanks

air compressor

I have had this unit for approximately two years and keep it charged and plugged in at all times, it does build up a good bit of condensate, so I routinely drain it. I had to return the first one within the first couple of weeks because the petcock at the bottom would not seal, but this unit has been fine. It easily runs all of my power tools and takes up very little space.

I've had this compressor for about five or six years now and it works just great. I use it for operating air powered equipment (nail guns), filling tires and to blow out my eight zone sprinkler system annually. I'm really pleased with it and the vertical setup is really nice because it saves floor space in my garage. Great tool!
