Great shop vac!!

Great for everyday use, lots of power!! It is a little cumbersome to move around, a smaller vacuum would have served my purpose better. But certainly, vacuums very well and I love all the attachments!! Makes it very versatile. Well worth the money, and with the Craftsman reputation behind it, how can...

I absolutely LOVED this vac.  I detail cars and tried to use the vac provided by work but it had no suction power compared to my personal vac, so I packed it to work everyday for about 4 months, then the motor burnt out on it.  I am thoroughly disappointed and just worked my first day without it. ...

Craftsman 20 gal. Wet-Dry Vac, 6.5 Peak hp Reviews

This vac is the best shop-vac I've ever owned! It has tons of power that quickly gobbles up dust and debris! Do NOT go near anything you don't want to vac or it will be gone in a second! The Vac bag option is great, adds another layer of filtration. I had no dust discharge while using, a problem with the Genie brand vac it replaced. It is also pretty quiet for a shop vac, I could still hear the phone ring when it was running.

This vacuum is very sturdy and has great suction. Comes with most accessories but the ability to use bags is a big plus. I was given a Craftsman 12gal for Christmas, but exchanged it for this one as the 12gal did not have bags available. I use it in my shop with my bench power tools and it works great. I prefer to use the bags as it makes emptying easier, don't have the problem with dust falling out when you open it and I don't have to replace the filter as often. You can also use other brands of bags with this wet-vac which is nice as Sears only has the general use bag available and I prefer... read full review »

I purchased this product for outdoor use (garage and property). I chose to spend the few extra dollars to get the more powerful 6.5 peak hp model because I'd rather have too much power than not enough. I could not be happier with my purchase.

First to my review of purchasing the product through Sears:
I purchased this product online for in-store pick-up. This was my first experience with Sears in-store pick-up and I will certainly use it again. I arrived on the pick-up day to my local Sears location and found that there was ample reserved parking exclusively for Sears in-store pick-up customers...

20 gal. 6.5 hp Shop Vac

Bought this vac to use for clean-up during a major home remodel. It stays in the middle of the mess and used several times a day. I like it's large cap. and lock on hose. The bag option is a plus but I found out that fine dust (from old plaster walls) will go through the bag and coat the inside of the drum. I don't use the exhaust airflow diffuser, I thank any air flow restriction would cut down it's suction power. So far so good. Power is OK (everyone wants mooooore power) all vacs are loud that is to be expected. It's a good quality unit, works well and has a fair price.

I have been nursing my old shop vac regretting when they finally have to be replaced. Luckily this Christmas season, I found the prefect one for myself. This is the biggest, strongest one they had on the sales floor. It is AWESOME! I bought some extra bags to collect the dust and garbage inside and also an extra length of hose for it. If you are thinking of going smaller, forget it. This one will be the last shop vac you ever buy. It will last forever and do what ever you can ask it to do. I Love it!

This is our 3rd Craftsman Vac and they have all worked well. Replacing one we lost in our business fire. Have never had a problem with any of the 3 and we use them every day. Hold up very well.

The King of all Vacs

A great powerful awesome vacuum. I had a vac with a smaller hose and it just couldn't keep up with the junk around the house. Its sucking power is amazing. Has been a life saver in several situations with water. The 20 gallon capacity is great for large jobs and saves time by not having to empty all the time.

****UPDATE AS OF DECEMBER 2, 2010 - MOTOR BURNED UP ON 3RD USE OF VACUUMING FLOOR****

We never used it to vacuum water, or anything else but the floor. Filter still looks new.

CAUSE: Motor has POOR COOLING due to acoustic shroud restricting cooling airflow to motor.

Ok, Puns out of the way I've had this now for a week and love its sucking power. I've used it to clean my patio and I have to rake the leaves out of the dirt and onto the patio otherwise it sucks up the ground with it. I just put up a Christmas tree, my first one, and yes I forgot to open it and shake out the needles outside like Dad used to do. I was actually happy because it was another excuse to use this wet/dry vac. And the best part about this vac is the bag option. I had the leaves in it from outside and now the tree needles so I just pulled the bag and tossed it in the yardscape recycle...
