This is my favorite rake for many years. It's real light and strong. Doesn't clog up as easily as the metal rakes. Picks up everything (leaves and pine needles) better than metal rakes I've used. It should be engineered and manufactured a little stronger at the edge tines, thats where I've experienced the plastic breaking over the years. I'd gladly pay a few extra bucks for this rake in an even stronger plastic. Problem today is I can't find anymore in the store or online. I've been offered 'comparable' replacements for 2 of my rakes at the local Sears store (edge tines broken), but...

I use this rake for general yard clean up of leaves and grass clippings. It is flexible enough to clean out flower beds without damaging the perennials in the bed.
This rake is ideal for clean up after using my Craftsman chipper shredder, I rake up the debris left from the machine and I also use it to spread the fine mulch produced by machine.
This rake is also useful for light thatch removal.
AS with any poly/wood tool, it is not recommended for extremely heavy duty use, and an annual coating of linseed oil on the wood handle, keeps this useful rake...
