This is my favorite rake for many years.  It's real light and strong.  Doesn't clog up as easily as the metal rakes.  Picks up everything (leaves and pine needles) better than metal rakes I've used.  It should be engineered and manufactured a little stronger at the edge tines, thats where I've experienced the plastic breaking over the years. I'd gladly pay a few extra bucks for this rake in an even stronger plastic.  Problem today is I can't find anymore in the store or online.  I've been offered 'comparable' replacements for 2 of my rakes at the local Sears store (edge tines broken), but...

rake

Great rake and used for about 5 years with no problems. Was doing normal raking this spring and handle snapped in half. Needs stronger handle.

Excellent Product

Excellent product if you're looking for a mid-size rake that does everything well. Tines are perfectly firm which provides good pick-up qualities. Good quality overall. My 2nd purchase for this product.

good value rake

I have used this rake for the past several years (probably close to 10), and I am still using it. A couple of the plastic or resin "teeth" at the very edges of the rake have broken off, but that just means I have an 18-inch rake instead of a 20-inch rake. Everything else has held up surprisingly well, and the fact that it is straight-faced means it can get leaves that are caught in the corners of lawns and grassy areas. The teeth are also long enough to really sweep through the grass and pull out the fallen leaves. This is a "can't go wrong" type of rake.

This rake is ideal for clean up after using my Craftsman chipper shredder, I rake up the debris left from the machine and I also use it to spread the fine mulch produced by machine.

This rake is also useful for light thatch removal.

AS with any poly/wood tool, it is not recommended for extremely heavy duty use, and an annual coating of linseed oil on the wood handle, keeps this useful rake...
