Craftsman 21 hp 46 in. Deck, YS 4500 Lawn Tractor —

As a longtime purchaser of Craftsman products, including several walk-behind lawnmowers during my years as a homeowner, I recently (reluctantly) decided that my knees are not as young as they once were and my lawn area seems to get larger with each passing year, I found myself in the market for a ride-on lawn tractor. I went to my local library and read several different publications as to what I should be looking for in a lawn tractor to get the best value for my dollar. I was very pleased to see that Consumer Reports (CR) rated a Craftsman lawn tractor (model 28724) as one of their best buys. In my estimation, the CR folks do what I cannot do; that is, put a product through its paces and ask a multitude of current owners their opinion of that product. Needless to say, with all things considered, I too purchased the Craftsman lawn tractor rated a best buy and look forward to years of reliability knowing that I will get the best value for my dollar. Oh yes, now that I do have the lawn tractor, guess who is interested in mowing the lawn? My wife and my 13-year old son!! Either way, the lawn tractor has been a blessing for my arthritic knees.
