Great sale price. Best words … easy start. Second best words … no mixing oil and fuel.
Having read other comments, I thought it best to really check the unit out before the initial run . Spark plug was gapped properly but air cleaner was “dry.” So took remaining drops from oil container (after putting oil in the engine) and oiled the foam air cleaner per book instructions. Everything else was good.
The 400 CFM is an amazing amount of air and more than enough to move lots of debris on a yard. The unit does not need an auxiliary nozzle (smaller opening) for more wind force...
read full review »This is a pretty nice blower, but it wouldn't run good at all when I started it for the first time. It wouldn't take the gas and would just choke out and die. I looked in the manual for the recommended spark plug gap and check it on the machine. Turns out the gap on the plug was way off, and once I set it spec it ran great. Starts on the second pull everytime now. Quieter than a 2 stroke and no smoke.
I bought this blower to replace an old Craftsman 2 cycle model I had owned for many years & had just recently expired. I was a bit reluctant with this 4 cycle model, as they generally cost a bit more & are usually heaver too.
I am pleasantly surprised at how light & powerful this blower is. Starts right up & is very smooth & quiet, as it generally runs a a lower rpm than a comparable 2 cycle model.
Only downsides is that is does not do the vacuum function & is not made in USA.. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning none the less.
I recommend this blower.
i was hesitant to spend the extra money over the 2-stroke models, but 50 dollars off was enticing enough to persuade me to try it for under $200. Features are well thought-out, cruise control setting is the best! Almost started on the first pull, full choke, then clicked down to half-choke and 4-stroke was purring before I got halfway out with the rope pull. Since it was first time running, I let it idle for well over a minute, really quiet and hardly vibrating. I thought it would be underpowered, having read other reviews on it, but as I increased the engine speed, I was pleasantly surprised...
read full review »I am replacing a homelite backpack II leaf blower after 3 years.. Tired of fighting hard start up I looked into this blower.. was able to get it for 162 out the door.. used coupon code "777" for 7 bucks off and chose store pickup to save on shipping. It came with oil which does not mixed with the gas.. Don't mess this up.. it's 4 stroke and not 2 stroke so it has a separate oil reservoir.. takes 2.03 oz of oil? How did they measure this? I guess .03 stays in the bottle so essentially it takes 2 oz. This thing has what they call incredi-pull. Man it was soo easy my 6 year old grand daughter...
read full review »I bought this blower on the Aug 13th. I used for my usual Saturday lawn jobes. The first thing I did was blow accumlated pine straw of the roof, FABULAS JOB. Then the lawn chores, sidewalks, driveway and pool area. Lots of stopping and starting the blower. Had NO problems of any kind. If this blower holds up like the two 8 year old Husqvann chain saws I have, it will be well worth the money.
Idea of not having to mix gas and oil sounded good. Filled crankcase with 30 wt oil. Filled gas tank with straight gasoline. Started machine and proceeded to blow some pine needles into pile so I could bag and trash. Kept feeling wet running down right pants leg. Pure oil was coming out thru choke area of carb.
Took the tool back to Sears and got refund.
Not sure if it was a one time lemon or not. But I ended up going elsewhere and purchasing a 2-cycle Stihl from dealer that provides on site service during and after the sale.
One of few times I have been disappointed...
