Craftsman 26&#34 208cc* Dual-Stage Snow Thrower —

I bought this machine 2 days prior to NJ's 4th major snow fall.  The snow fall was heavy (wet) and over a foot high. I was quite excited to see how this machine would rip through the snow.  The machine started no issue.  As I engaged the auger, it did not work.  At first I thought I was doing something wrong, so I re-read the instructions.  Everything I did was correct.  After 20 min of looking around to see if something was jammed, I decided to check the auger drive belt.  Thus I discovered the problem..the belt had fallen off.  OK, so I put the belt back on, and started it up again.  I engaged the auger and it spun for 20sec when the belt fell off AGAIN!!!!  I DID THIS 2 MORE TIMES!!!!!   As I looked a little closer to why this was happening, the engine drive wheel and the auger drive wheel were not centered, therefore the belt, when engaged, spun at a slight angle, hence causing the belt to fall off every time it was put on.  Bad design.  I thought Craftsman was really good quality and design....I guess that went down the gutter.  I ended up shoveling for 2.5 hours.  I will be returning this machine.  Thanks Sears and Craftsman....good job  :-((((((
