“Its easy enough to operate yet powerful enough to do a good job.”
I got this after the first major snowfall, when I vowed I'd never shovel that much snow again. It was very easy to set up the handle & the rod for the chute control. I added gas, checked the oil level, used the extension cord & started it with the electric start. It started right up & let it idle for 10 minutes or so, also ran the auger for a while just starting & stopping it to let everything get used to working together. That was probably the last time it ever had it that easy, as we've had back to back 24" snowfalls, & a few smaller ones since then.
So far it has started & performed flawlessly. My driveway is 100' long & the parking area is 30' wide. Due to the weight of some wet snow I did have to replow some snow that had already been blown in my parking area, and it handled that job well. It threw the snow varying distances, powdery snow easily went 15"+, normal snow 10 -15', heavy snow 5 - 10', but slush was only around 5' (but I still didn't have to shovel it). I even did a 5' wide & 200' long path for my dog over uneven ground with it. I've started it by hand everytime since and its almost always an easy 1 pull start.
Its easy enough to manuever too. I used reverse to back it up the steps so I could clear the back deck off. The chute control is easy to master with your left hand while you maintain the drive control with your right. Right now I have about 10 hours on the machine. It needs to have the original oil changed out, but nothing has shaken or vibrated loose. The only maintenance so far has been a light oiling, & it has stood upto the abuse I have administered to it.
Easy enough to use, even my 145 lb son can handle it.
Powerful enough to handle snow that is as tall as the chute.
Well built and reasonably priced for this size model.
I should have gotten this a LONG time ago!
