Buy It to Save your Health

I was very lucky that my parents wanted to buy a big combination all birthdays/Christmas gift for me and my husband. Last year in Delaware, we had storms with more than 2 feet of snow. I ruined my shoulder shoveling. This year, my parents bought the snowblower for us. I watch my husband use it....

Bought my new 26" snow blower in September. Just like the sales clerk instructed me, I started it when I got it home and removed all the fuel. When the first snow fall was predicted I filled it with fresh gas and started it. It ran very rough, smoked and did not seem to have much power. After about an... read full review »

Highly recommended

I could not have bought the blower at a better time. What a winter we have had in Boston. I had to go out of the country for 4 weeks to return to a driveway piled up with more than 2 ft of snow. But the snowblower has no issues cutting through the whole thing in no time. Saved me a lot of work. I would highly recommend it.

Had reservations about buying this - Chinese engine and I don't like Sears since they fleeced me out of a dishwasher rebate. However, the price was right - $630 on sale - and the specs looked good. Took 20 minutes to assemble - just the chute. Used it to clear the N.E. blizzard of 12/26-27. Worked like a champ. Easy starting - loved the electric start. Cleared a 250 foot driveway plus lots of sidewalk. Used it twice - first about 8 inches during the storm, next time about 10 inches after the storm. Wish I had waited until the snow finished. This blower has the power to handle a heavy snowfall... read full review »

Easy setup, started on the first turn.  First snow in early November was very wet (slushy) and I was surprised it moved it, although not very far.  The second stage jump in and does not bog down in heavy snow.  My brothers  non Craftsman 24" snow blower would have just got clogged.  Very happy with it.  Hate to say, I can't wait for it to snow.  I know it will handle the northeast winters in upstate NY.

I recently relocated from Orlando to Northern Utah, last winter was my first winter here.  I was warned by my neighbors that i needed more than the little snow shoved i acquired in order to make it through the winters.  I heeded their advice and boy was i glad i did.  We received about 13 feet of snow at my home - i never would have been able to keep up with my shovel.  This machine is my new best friend in the winter

I hate this snowblower

We purchased this snowblower two winters ago and it's never been reliable.  The first one we brought home was a dud (the ignition didn't work) and our local Sears store was great about getting it exchanged for us.  The second one we used one snowstorm and it was great for getting the hard snow the plow left at the end of the driveway.  However, it would never run for more than 15 minutes before conking out.  Fortunately, we purchased the protection agreement as we have had someone to our home three times so far to repair it, to only have it run for 15-20 minutes in the next snowstorm and conk...

Craftsman 26" Snowblower

I am so glad we had this snowblower with all the snow we had this year. It did a good job. It's easy to set up, easy to use, and easy to start. Thre the snow where you wanted it. Had enough power for what we needed. Do wish it came with a light, but I can probably figure something out for that. Good value for the money. Would recommend.

I just used the snowblower for the first time after the 2010 Holiday Blizzard dumped a solid foot of powdery fluffly snow on us (NY upstate metro suburbs). The snowblower was a snap to operate; it cleaned my 800sq ft (give or take) driveway down to the blacktop and left it looking manicured. My driveway is in two sections and one section is a horseshoe on an incline. I was concerned the machine wouldn't perform well going up and down a slippery surface but it did. Working at a conservative pace the whole job took me about 3 1/2 hours. I'm very glad I spent the extra 80 dollars or so (sale)... read full review »

It's plenty strong enough for my 210' driveway. I can clear 7" of snow in about 10 minutes in 2nd gear. I also use it to clear the walkways and a path for my Craftsman Garden Tractor so I can bring up firewood. This path is probably 60" wide by every bit of 210' long through the hilly yard. The next model up had power steering which would have been nice but not necessary, as this model is easy to maneuver.

I used the blower a couple times today as I live in NH and we had a blizzard with 18 inches. It cut right through and had no issues with the big plow hump at the end of the driveway. Some times the hump was taller than the blower but it went right through. The only issue I have is that the joystick/chute does stay in one place and moves a bit as you are blowing. The guy at Sears assembled the chute for me so all I had to do was add gas. The oil was already in it. It started right away. Today I started it manually without the electric and it started on the first pull. Got to love that! There is... read full review »

Nice product for the price

I live in upstate New York and bought this snowblower about a month ago and have had 4 decent size storms since, up to 13". Have used the electric start only once because it is so easy to start and has always started on the first or second pull manually, even when temp. was 10 below.. Cuts right through deep snow and throws it pretty good, just wish it wasn't a plastic chute. The stearing assist is nice to have but seems like the right side doesn't work every time. The only other issue I have with it is I bought the last one in stock and it was already assembled. When they assembled it the chute... read full review »

I picked this snowblower up in early December to replace my old Dynamark. I was surprised at how much lighter this new snowblower is. It was easy to put together and after putting gas in, it started on the 2nd pull. I then waited for the snow to fall. As you may know were getting hammered with snow this year in the NY area. I have used this blower in every snow fall and it was easy to start every time. I am very happy with the power this blower has and its ease of use. I have used it in 4" to over 12" of snow and it has worked flawlessly every time. The only issue I have is the 1st gear is... read full review »

I purchased this model and had to fire it up earlier then I expected as we got hit with an early November storm (you know Cleveland)  She started right up and cleared the area in front of the garage with ease.  As I started down the driveway I heard a loud bang and the engine sputtered and eventually stalled.  When I looked down it seemed that all of the oil was running out of it but I couldn't see from where because of the dark.  When I rolled it back up to the garage to take a look it turned out the engine grenaded and blew it's guts out the *** of the block.  I took it back and have been...
