This is a good rachet for the price. I use it everyday as a professional mechanic and have had no problems. I don't think it's designed to break bolts loose form a stop using the air throttle. Using it to manually loosen and then as an air tool is how I think it is designed as is with all 1/4" air rachets....

I purchased six of these pneumatic ratcheting wrenches for my shop. Of the six, all of them leak air at 90 psi, one of them siezed up and stopped working after the 5 minutes of use. The ergonomic grip is nice, but the Craftsman logo slides off when you grip the handle, leaving a sticky residue. I...
Bought the ratchet 6 months ago, and used it once. On the second attempt to use the wrench the reverse switch would not change direction (stuck in forward). I was able to get the direction selector reversed with the help of a small crescent wrench. With that problem solved I plugged it back in and now the ratchet head will not turn in either direction.
I rated it 5 stars in Reliability, because it worked great the three times I used it and then put it back in the drawer. It works great, but it has no torque. You have to loosen the nut almost to the point where you could hand turn it off before this thing works. So you might as well spend some more money and get one that has decent torque so you don't end up buying two like I am going to have to.
This wrench works really well after you already get nuts and bolts loose. It just does not have enough torque to get the job done for me. My advice is spend the extra money and get one that can actually loosen bolts too.
It is a great tool for small areas and makes any job go faster. This is a quality tool that is worth more than what you pay for, I highly recommend this air tool to anyone.
i just got this wrench about a month ago, and i have to say, it works out pretty well. not as hefty as my regular 3/8" rachet, and i can use all my sockets in the same size as the 1/4". the power could be a little better, but for the size, its easily comprimisable. great wrench.
Found it to be extreamly noisy and low on torque while it lasted .... now with in two months of purchase the poorly designed light duty rachet head is broken internaly ...... I'm sure it was from me giving it a helping hand to break a 10mm nut loose .......... unless you like running back and fourth to get it replaced or repaired and don't care about your hearing Save your money ........ wish I would have .......
I love this ratchet. It is light on the power but thats why I like it, I work on nissans and always have to remove lots of ten mm bolts. I use it constantly for that, which usually doesnt require much torque. If I have something bigger I just use my impact or my ingersoll rand reactionless air ratchet.
