Overall this is a good package for the price. I have tried to purchase a couple of other floor jacks before and they don't compare to the quality of this one. I am definitely impressed with it. I'm not seeing the same thing as the people talking about the touchy release. I lifted my truck up multiple times and never had a problem lowering it slowly if I wanted to. YMMV. The Jack stands are jack stands. They are rated for the highest load but will be just fine for the vast majority of people. I already had a set of stronger ones if I ever need them, but now I have a full set of four for...
read full review »This is a great jack package. For the price you can't beat it. The floor jack is a great value alone, other jacks like it sell for $200 plus. I am a little disappointed in the quality of the creeper, it seems that they could have used a little better materials for the side rails and not too happy on how they spliced the side rails together, but I can fix it with little effort. For the price I still feel like I got a really great deal.
Initially I was impressed with the overall quality. The jack was heavy and seemed to be built quite tough. The release mechanism on the jack was extremely touchy if the handle is in any other position than completely down. I bled the air out of the system and that improved performance somewhat, and have found that it just takes some finesse to lower smoothly. After bleeding I felt it took an excessive handle stroke to raise the jack. Others I've used in the past would raise with a bare minimum of movement, even after bleeding this one required somewhere between 2-4" of handle movement to...
read full review »I received this set as a Christmas present 2 years ago. Since receiving it I have used it about 10 times. I find the jack easy to use and the jack stands seem sturdy. The creeper is OK. It tends to not roll as easily as some others I've used because the wheels are too small.
Overall, I like the set and feel it is a well made and dependable product.
One thing over the last 2 years was always bugging me. The jack and stands were always in the way. If you just put them in the garage they take up floor space and things get piled on them and the stands attract spiders which make nests in the leg area....
read full review »Excellent set, I'd been wanting it for a long time, waited for the right deal. Release was not touchy at all on mine. I purged the fluid per the instructions, and it worked perfect. Larger and beefier than I expected, which was great. Rolls well, jacks well, very sold feel. Lifted rear end of boat, and my tractor, with no issues at all. Creeper is fantastic. My one con is the size of the stands-- they are a bit small... no, they're very small. People that need a 3ton jack will probably need larger stands... havent found a use for them yet.
This is a basic vehicle floor jack with stands. Everything is easy is to use and setup for initial use. The stands are low enough that you do not have to jack your low vehicles very high up. The handle comes off of the jack making it easily storable. I am not a big fan of the creeper as it is two piece construction and I believe it will start to sag and eventually break because the seam is right in the middle.
I caught this combo on a $99.99 sale and lets just say I could not be happier. Already did 2 oil changes and was able to scoot around underneath the car with ease with the creeper. Jack lifted the vehicles with ease (Jeep Grand Cherokee, Taurus, and Camaro) And what is there to say about the jacks besides it kept the cars up and off of me =).
craftsman is the best but price was even better @ $100 .I assemble it in about 10min,I love this, you should buy this
I'll preface this by saying I've read multiple times that this jack doesn't last. I've used it to build 3 trail rigs and it hasn't skipped a beat. My big gripe about the jack is it's touchy to lower the vehicle slowly, but you learn to anticipate that. The stands are great, no complaints there. The creeper is the weak link, it comes in 2 pieces so it's a bit flimsy and the casters are just ok. I still use it, but I use the Craftsman 1 piece more.
The floor jack and jack stands are of better quality than anything else I've found for the rating for the price. I know that if I need to support 6000 #s the set will easily handle and exceed the weight unlike some that I wouldn't trust my life to. Minimal assembly; jack needed bleeding but good operation afterwards with the exception of relieving pressure slowly not being an option, at least on my jack.
Creeper left some to be desired; missing half the split lock washers for casters, don't know how they got away with the design with eight nasty "pinch points" exposed through open rails. ...
