For those wanting more weight, read the directions

I'm not trying to slam anyone, but all the comments written about this not being enough weight, never mentioned in their reviews that these weights are STACKABLE. That's right... you can order a second set if you find you need more weight. The center hub is spoked, and also has four mounting holes. The spokes allow for the second set to interlock, stay centered, and not rotate. Only two holes are used to mount the weight to the wheel. This leaves two opposing holes to through bolt on an additional weight to the first weight. I hope this review helps in your decision to buy as well as well as nullifies... review »

30lb wheel weights-Easy to install. remove with reversed bolts.

Based on another reviewer, I bought new bolts that I could reverse to remove the wheel to check air pressure, but, would not have to fight with the bolts.  This worls very well, and these 30lb wheel weights should give me the added weight I need for traction this winter.

They helped with traction for snow plowing. The change wasn't overwhelming but with chains on a hard surface my 20 hp Craftsman lawn tractor could push very heavy crusted snow at the recommended maximum depth. Installation takes about 20 minutes after you have your 9/16" socket ready. It takes a moderate amount of strength to mount these within the deep dish wheels. Some wheels may require drilling, mine didn't, so you will need considerably more time, tools and patience if your wheels do not have pre drilled holes. Happy with wheel weights

I am very happy with the addition of my wheel weights. I do not plow snow with my tractor, but I do have some hills in my yard that I have lost traction on in the past. After mowing a few times with the wheel weights on I have not had any traction issues. If you do not mind spending @ 10 - 15 minutes installing/removing the weights, I would see no reason to spend the extra money on the new quick attach model. As long as you work from behind the wheel and rotate the bolts to the back, they are quite easy to install/remove with a 9/16 ractchet and a wrench.

I bought these weights as they would give you more traction. Anyhow putting them on was easy enough. But what I didn't like is they wanted the buyer to drill holes for the valve stem. These weights are made for my tractor, so why do I need to do the drilling? If they needed holes drilled, they should have come that way. Needless to say I put them on without drillling the holes, and they work fine. But if I need to put air in the tires, I will have to take the weights off.

I thought I do not need them while using my snowblower on my lawn tractor as my 200 pounds of weight should've done the trick for traction. I was wrong! Tractor was spinning tires (even with chains on). As soon as I've added these - no more spinning - just awesome grip. I subtracted one star only because it is not very easy to put them on and off. Sears has a version with quick attach which is available only for garden tractors I believe. Very good product !

I put these on with chains and weight drum on the back but have a 6ft grade to garage all works great but I feel 40-50lb weights would work better I only have the 42in blower on the front but its heavy even with my 225lb onboard I sometimes have to lean back in the seat. GIVE US MORE WEIGHT SEARS. make the good thing great!!they were a little tricky to put on by myself and you came out with the ez fit after I installed these.

After reading all the reviews for attaching the snow thrower to a riding lawn mower, I decided I needed the chains and wheel weight combo, and I am glad I bought them. We just got hit with 8" of snow last night. The weights are a little pricey, but they are made for the tractor, and very easy to install, with only two long bolts for each wheel. I highly reccomend them!

These are a great product, easy to install and effective, but not heavy enough. Still a lot of wheel spin even with chains. Not good for the driveway. I only weigh 155, but I note that folks over 200 have the same problem. The product is great, just not heavy enough. I am not sure how effectively more weight can be done and be installed as easily as these.

I use these wheel weights on a Craftsman YS4500 26 HP Lawn Tractor with a 42" snow thrower attachment. The weights do a good job of helping to provide for extra traction. The first year that I installed them, it did take a little effort to get a ratchet wrench on the insides of the wheels when securing the weights. It took several attempts to cobble together the right amounts of extension bars, along with a strategically placed U-Joint. Eventually, I figured it out.
