“Loud, but it does the job”
I bought the Craftsman Compressor Kit (3 guns, hose, compressor) a couple years ago. I have used it for my smaller projects (car tire inflation duty) as well as some larger projects (re-fencing the back yard). The compressor itself seems like it is holding up and will continue to do so. I'm always surprised at how much water comes out of the drain valve when I perform this task on shutdown (as you should every time to avoid rusting out the tank prematurely).
I've expanded my capability by adding a second outlet point so I can run two small air tools at once. I like to keep my air nozzle on the 2nd outlet so it's always available to clear dust and debris as needed. Of course, this model does not have a lot of capacity and it works to keep up when I'm using my framing nailer with repeat hits. Eventually it catches back up, but it definitely gets more of a workout than with the stapler or brad nailer.
This unit does make noise, for those not familiar with oil-less models. If you'll be using this in any way where the unit must cycle a lot, then hearing protection might be desired.
The hose that comes with the Craftsman compressors is vinyl. This type of hosing has a memory to it especially when it is cold. It will want to coil back up on itself when you are trying to use it. In the hot weather outside this was less of a problem as the vinyl relaxes more. I've added a 2nd hose made of more flexible rubber as an extension and to get away from the recoiling issue a little more.
Unfortunately, this unit doesn't have the capability of using much more than smaller nailers or staplers with it. The portability makes it nice so I would like to use it for more jobs, but it doesn't have the strength for other tools.
