Loud, but it does the job

I bought the Craftsman Compressor Kit (3 guns, hose, compressor) a couple years ago.  I have used it for my smaller projects (car tire inflation duty) as well as some larger projects (re-fencing the back yard).  The compressor itself seems like it is holding up and will continue to do so.  I'm always surprised at how much water comes out of the drain valve when I perform this task on shutdown (as you should every time to avoid rusting out the tank prematurely).

I've expanded my capability by adding a second outlet point so I can run two small air tools at once. I like to keep my air nozzle on...

The Craftsman 4 Gallon Air Compressor with Nail Gun Set is the best tool in my DIY kit.  We're renovating a 70+ year old family home.  We've got a plan, though things take a while when you want to do it right.  This tool set has helped us with flooring, the installation of wainscotting, etc.  It's been a time-saving and necessary tool - we love it!

915315 Craftsman compressor/nail gun kit

This is a good starter kit for part time fixer uppers. Compressor takes up very little room and is good to throw in the back of car when needed. I only had one complaint which went towards my downgrading the workmanship. The finisher nail gun had a cheap plastic guide that keeps the nails fed. This broke on me the second time I fed nails in. Also the plastic pressure valve knob on the compressor was again something that could easily crack or break and I can easily see the hood of the compressor getting brittle if left in the sun for very long. The other two nail guns are built with very little... read full review »

compressor combo

This is the best deal going! The compressor is big enough to handle most jobs and small enough to move conveniently around from project to project. All the guns are quality built and very reliable. Carrying case and nails included so you are ready to go as soon as you open the box. Probably my best purchase at Sears and I have purchased many, many tools and appliances from Sears. You can't go wrong on this one!

Great Small Job Air Compressor

I believe that this air compressor and nail gun package is a great entry level package. I bought mine a few months ago for repairs around the house. I love that it is relatively light weight, came with everything to get started, and provides all the extras for things you might not even think about using it for. (pumping up air mattress) The only thing I have noticed is that the air hose is very acceptable to puncture. I had a small leak and purchased the heavier duty hose.

Excellent Buy

Just purchased this combo unit last week. Ordered it online on Fri. and had it in my waiting hands on Tues. Price was right and even free shipping. Used it to install tongue and groove paneling on my sun porch ceiling. Used only the brad nailer so far but was very happy with light weight on nailer as everything was overhead nailing. Never a misfire and easy adjustment of air pressure to get a flush nailing with only a couple of brads not going in completely which were my own fault as I did not hold gun firm and straight enough when nailing. Compressor operation is a breeze and quite quiet compared... read full review »

6 months later, still great.

I bought this compressor combo about 6 months ago, and I have been using it solid during that time for the full remodel of my home. I couldn't be more pleased. I haven't had a single issue with either of the nailers or stapler or the compressor. all have worked flawlessly. The nailers are nice and light, great for over-the-head work like crown molding.

Needed or not, that's the question.

Over my years (40+) of projects (both big and small) I always thought that it would be nice to have a nail gun. Just 2 years ago my wife bought me the wheeled, 125 PSI, 1 HP, 4 GAL unit with the three nailers for one low price. A lot cheaper than the "Big Name" units. I have numerous craftsman tools that have provided long life and are still in use many years later (ex. my 7" circular saw - ever try to buy 7" saw blades - must be over 30 years old). I have used this new compressor on many projects, from building large storage shelves in the basement to putting up wire mesh fence around the whole... read full review »

Excellent combo pack!

What a great little combo deal. I'm just a weekend warrior so I can't speak specifically about the long term durability of these items but they seem pretty solid and certainly work fine. (There are a few more "plastic" pieces than I would like to see on an air tool but hey, everything seems to be going that way right?). Again the value on this set is awesome. I picked it up through the Craftsman Club discount for $279... All three of these pices AND the compressor for $279?!? Unbelieveable.

Good buy

I bought this set a few days ago shortly after buying a new house. I was putting up a chair rail and out of the box it all work flawlessly. It is easy to carry around the house even up stairs, and does not take up much space in the garage. I only marked down the workmanship because the connection on my finish nailer had to be torqued some due to a small air leak. Nothing a wrench would not fix.

Great set

Bought this a few months ago when i was in need a small compressor around the home. The added value of the nail and staple guns was a huge plus. I would have given the set al 5 stars but i have not had it long enough to rate Reliability. From what I have seen so far I do not expect any problems looks like everything is well made. Never realized just how handy these would be in projects around the house. The finishing nailer and stapler work flawlessly. The brad nailer requires a little extra effort to sink nails flush. The wood pieces have to be completely flush and the brad nailer held firm.... read full review »

Great Package

We bought this last week since we are renovating a home and we hope to do many more. This is a great package to allow us to do many things with. So far it is holding its own. Easy to manover around the house. My only complaint is that it came with a 25' hose instead of the 50' hose so you may want to buy the 50' hose in addition.

great value

Great value for all you get. Easy to load and shot. It came with everything I needed for the project I needed it for. The nail guns made my project go quickly and smoothly. And it all fits nicely in the storage bag. I would definitly buy it again.

5 stars

It is a very good value. It works great,it drives nailes, staples,& brads very well. The easy to adjust air preasure makes it easy to use on either soft wood or hardwood so you can put the nail flush or countersunk. It is light enough with a comfortabla handle to make it easy to be portable. I gave reliability only 4 stares because I haven`t had it very long ,but it seems to be made solid and other sears tools I have ,have held up well.
