I bought this air compressor to use for running finish nail guns and for airing up bike and car tires. It does a great job for those uses. It is small and very affordable. I looked at Lowes, Home-depot, harbor freight and other places and this seemed to be the best value for a small air compressor. It was $110 on sale with an extra $15 off for their Easter sale. Plus the $16 three year warranty and tax, it ended up being $124 and some change! It is only 4 gallons so it will have to fill quite a bit and the duty is 50%. It fills quickly and is fairly quite. Had no trouble filling the tires...

The hose and accessories that come with the tank are not the best quality. So you'll probably have to invest in a new air hose and accessories. Price seems reasonable, if you get it for under $100
I was looking for a small compressor and had narrowed it down to three. I went with the Craftsman because if you have a problem, you just take it back to Sears and they make it right.
As for the compressor itself, it works great. No oil, no leaks, no issues. At startup, it ran right up to pressure just like it is supposed to. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
On the downside, the kit that comes with it is not the best. While not the greatest, everything in the kit does work. I did replace the air hose, not because it leaked, put because it was very stiff in the cold weather. I also...
read full review »I have owned my air compressor for about 1 year. The compressor works super as expected, but the air hose is a peice of crap. It's pretty much useless in the cold weather. Mine particularly has a crack in it already because it won't flex in the cold. If you by this product, which I recommend, I suggest you throw the hose in the trash and by a good rubber hose. It will save you some headache right from the start. I am getting ready to by a rubber hose on ****** today, and I suggest you get the one made by Goodyear. Then you should be good to go.
This compressor is great for small jobs, but does lack the power and speed to keep up with anything more demanding. It is light enough to be portable on the job.
this air compressor is perfect for small jobs around the house or throw it in the trunk to fill up bike tires on the go or a car tire. i have owned this close to a year and is holding up good i agree with some other reviews about the air hose and connectors, just up grade the hose no big deal
I was looking for a compact air compressor that would be able to inflate tires and blow out my garage and this one fits the bill perfectly. It is light, easy to maintain as it is oil-free and more than powerful enough for what I need. It fills up quickly and I am able to pump up car, bike and lawn mower tires in no time. I have also used it to blow out the back of a truck and the garage and it has done that with ease. Haven't tried to use any tools with it as of yet, but I think that it could handle light duty jobs without a problem. I really like how small it is, doesn't take up hardly any space....
read full review »This compressor is slightly larger than most others in its category, so that is a plus. The build is quite solid and well constructed. It feels like it will stand up to most DIY projects around the house and garage. The gauges are easy to read and accurate, and the operating pressure is simple to adjust according to the desired purpose or tool. The only displeasing aspect about this compressor is its included accessories and air hose. The fittings and attachments are of poor quality and the moving parts feel flimsy. I would recommend with the purchase of this compressor a nice accessory kit and...

Purchased the compressor new in November of 2009. i use it daily at work in a production environment where we need to clean the dust out of computers that we are rebuilding. Yes, it does run for the entire time we are using it since we have it set to blow alot of air but it keeps up with the demand and we have not had any problems with it. I'll be considering a larger craftsman compressor to replace it soon though since we would like to have multiple stations with a air gun.
Great Compressor. Its small and light weight, yet big enough to get all of my projects done around around the house. I also take it camping with me in case I get a flat tire or need to inflate my tires. It travels real nice in the back of the truck, and has a nice wide base.
This compressor is perfect for light duty and finish nailing. Perfect size too, as 6 gallon was too much and 1 or 2 gall is too small. Not too many 4 gallon compressors on the market. Don't expect to run a framing nailer with it though. Will need to upgrade hose, although its not bad, and get more accessories. Hose is stiff but will loosen up.
The compressor is simple to use and simple to set up. I would highly recommend to anyone needing an air compressor, Very Durable light & Compact.
Great little compressor when you don't want or have room to take a regular-size large one. We go camping and this is ideal to take along to pump up air matresses and bicycle tires. Many uses.
