Craftsman 4 hp 18&#34 Electric Chain Saw —

I have owned both gas and electric chainsaws and this the best of both, with the exception of the higher end Makitas and Milwaukees. The operation is simple and well balanced. The chain oils nicely and chain tension adjustment is quick and simple. On my first day, I tackled a 15' apple, two 50' poplars and a 40' blue spruce tree and this saw didn't miss a beat. No laboring, no binding, no smoking.....no nothing! In fact, after carving up the spruce, I was left with a 14'' diameter 'totem pole' of a trunk about 8 feet tall to chop down. Rather than doing the proper notch fall, I decided to test the saw. I made a horizontal cut about a foot off the ground and this saw went completely through without binding or bogging down. Unless you get a defective one, you can't go wrong with this saw!!
