Craftsman 4 hp 18" Electric Chain Saw —
This is a good little electric chainsaw. I also have a Stihl MS 441, which I use for large trees, but this electric saw is also handy. I was actually surprised at how powerful it is. I've used it to clear a medium size oak tree (with about a 12 inch diameter base). It handled the tree and limbs no problem.
The adjustment system for the chain is very nice. I would say this would be a good starter chainsaw for someone who wants to learn to use a chainsaw, but isn't ready to set up to a gas powered saw just yet. This saw is also nice for when you don't need the power of a larger saw or when you need to take out small trees and/or don't want to draw a lot of attention to yourself.
It's no match for a professional chainsaw 24 or 28+ blade - and you won't be felling 100' pine trees with it - however, for the average home owner who just needs to cut up a few limbs or tackle a small tree around the yard once in a while, it's more than enough.
Overall, this is a top notch little saw - especially for the money. Keep in mind, on a professional chainsaw, just the chain and bar cost more than what Sears is selling this entire chainsaw for :-) No matter how you slice it, it's a very handy little electric chain saw.
