I've had this jack for almost 16 months now. This particular one was the third return of the same jack! Each one I returned had the same issue: it leaks oil and can't sustain a load for longer than 10 minutes. I have a Honda Civic that I use this jack to perform oil changes on. I've used this one maybe 8 times, and it has just started leaking oil like the previous 3. It also came with a twisted (warped) frame out of the box, so only 3 of the 4 wheels touch the ground! I am a huge fan of most of Craftsman's tools, but I will never purchase another Craftsman floor jack, and I wouldn't recommend...
read full review »WARNING !! Do not buy this like I did. It is a great jack when new, will lift anything, I loved it. Then it started to leak right after the warranty ran out. No problem right, get the repair kit and fix it. THERE IS NO REPAIR KIT !!!! But you can buy a new hydraulic ram for $101.00 !!! I think not.
As far as I'm concerned I was ripped off by Sears. I've been buying Craftsman tool for decades and never ran into any garbage like this.
Made in China ! I should have known.
Many have already reported just how ****** this floor jack is, I am only writing to add more support that this jack is, indeed, a POS.
I bought this jack in a package with two lightweight POS jack stands for about $150-160. I used the jack over a period of about 1 1/2 years before the valve seals blew. I would say I used it maybe 20-30 times doing common home mechanic tasks such as lifting mowers, 4-wheelers, and oil changes and tire rotations on vehicles. Of course, it is only warrantied for a year IF you have your receipt.
If this jack hasn't gone bad for you yet, you either do not...
read full review »Total piece of junk! As with everyone else that bought this thing it started spewing oil everywhere and then quite working all together. Thought it was fixable but its just trash. Save your money and invest in something better. This thing was awesome at first, then after about 8-10 uses it just ******* out. If you buy this be prepared to buy another one.
Outstanding product. More than enough guts to lift my 1 ton super duty truck. Great price on sale too.
The saddle is way too small, the quick lift doesn't save a bit of work since you have to pump the handle quite a bit more than my old Sears professional jack once the saddle reaches the frame. Every time I pull the jack, the handle quick release lets go and the jack rolls down the driveway...
I had a Craftsman Professional jack for years and years... I used it regularly for over twenty years. I loved it, but it finally quit on me. I didn't even look anywhere else, I just went down to Sears and bought another Professional jack... It's a mistake I won't make again. I hate this jack.
I've had this...

It is just like everyone elses. It started leaking and puked all over the floor.
Good thing I had my 35 year old Sear jack on hand to finish the job.
Just wished I had never bought it since I cannot even buy a replacement power unit to repair this piece of junk.
My next stop is the Ranger website to order a quality replacement.
I bought this jack just over two years ago and have never had any problems with it, even though I keep it bangging around the back of my truck all year round. I've used it on any thing from boat trailer to my full size truck. I'm no auto tech but I still use it about once a week. I do agree that it can start slowly falling after many hours of holding my truck but any high school auto student will tell you thats why you use floor jacks. I would 100% recommend this jack to my friends and family!!!!!
I've owned the jack for a couple of years, only using a few times. My son went to use it last week end, when oil started leaking out. I was able to replace the o-ring where the leak was coming from, but now the jack will not lift. Sears will not stand behind this product. I will never purchase another sears automotive tool again.
I have read all the reviews and will say that I have never had a problem with mine. Had it for a few years - used maybe 10 times by me and borrowed it to others several times. I can lift the whole side of my Honda Ridgeline at once - makes rotating tires a snap!
I bought this jack about 15 months ago to use in my garage for occasional oil changes and brake work. I have used it less than 12 times. The other day I was changing the rear brakes on my wifes car. The jack lifted the vehicle with no problems as usual. When I was done with the job I tried to lift the vehicle off of the jack stands and the jack would not lift the vehicle. I had to use the jack for the spare tire and since then the jack will not work. I brought it back into Sears and they told me that it only had a 1 year warranty and that it was non servicable. I asked him what I...
