I bought this about 2 years ago and I used is occasionally to change the oil in my car and to swap out my summer and winter tires. It now doesn't even lift my car anymore. You get it to where it contacts the frame and that's it. You can pump and pump, but it doesn't lift. Sometimes it will lift, but it doesn't hold. Eventually the car is back on the ground. Not safe!!

I was hoping I would get a little insight into the issue, but it appears it's failed because it's a junk part. Sears, you really need to step up here and fix this. I think I know now why you only put a 1 year warranty on them..

I've got the little scale model of that jack.

Works good, for lifting up my little NASCAR, matchbook sized, Craftsman car.

The jack may need more hydraulic oil. I'd suggest checking the manual for maintenance information.
