sweeper dissapointment

Craftsman 42&#34 High Speed Sweeper —

Crafstman 42" lawn sweeper. What a hunk of junk. I spend $300 for this , while wanting it for a long while, and it does Not come with all the parts.  Customer service said they will UPS the missing parts, sometime this week. then she pointed out that I should have layed out all parts and matched them against the assembly instructions. Yes, Maybe, but I told her hardly anyone does that, I just started putting it together. She yelled at me and said everyone does that. (if you are reading this, do you?) Anyhow, she said there not that critical of  parts. It only supports the bag in an upright position. I should put it together and use it. She was also suprised it was only missing a couple of parts.  I put it together as instructed. The Darn thing fell apart 3 times and jiggled apart a couple of other times. I have allways loved Crafstman stuff, But I am so frusterated with this non sweeping sweeper, I may never go to Sears again, let alone buy Craftsman. I was hoping for more from this tool. Also, the salesman told me it folded down for storage, no, no it does Not. I do not have a 3' by 4' area to leave this when I am not using it. It takes a lot of room. Maybe, when I get all of the parts, I might like it more. It could be hard to tell when it falls apart after first use 5 or 6 times,. but, I wish it took less room in my garage (as I was promised) and it seems like a waste of money to me so far. VERY DISSAPOINTED

I had all the parts I needed and YES, I did check all the parts before assembly. No reason not to do that. The catcher part does collapse for storage if you take the time to remove some of the assembly screws that are installed to prevent this from happening during use. I store my unit in the corner of my shed with the bag raised over the sweeper, such as in the position used when emptying. It takes up a fracton of the storage space foot print this way, but it is still a large item. Did you ask about an exhange or refund?
