“Sweeper Days”
Craftsman 42" High Speed Sweeper —
17 yr old lawn tractor finally blew the engine so I decided to buy a new one, this time a 24 HP 42 inch hydro, in doing so I was going to buy the bagger system again but opted to try out the lawn sweeper since my old bagger I used to use was very picky when it came to the fall leaf collection. Well it took me about two hours to assemble, it was missing a piece, the support rod, I called Sears and they said I had to return the whole sweeper and they didn't have another one in stock and would need to order. Well there is a number on the assembly instruction manual that says to call if missing any parts and not to call Sears, I called the number but it was after hours, will try a later day. Any way I decide to solve the problem by going to the loacal hardware store and bought a 48" long 3/8" piece of all thread and some nuts, this worked out great, tried out the lawn sweeper on my lawn and it worked great, even picked up those annoying little dead tree branches the wind knocks down. The only complaint I have is what everyone else seems to have and that is it needs to be designed to disengage the drive wheels when you need to take to a dump loaction. I would recommend this product, work 5 time better than a conventional bagging system which clogs.Craftsman 42" High Speed Sweeper
