I purchased this device because my aging shoulders will no longer allow me to rake my large lot without considerable discomfort. It serves the purpose. It isn't as thorough as a rake job, but it certainly is adequate. Assembly is not the simplest job and requires a significant amount of time, but I am impressed with the quality of the materials and the design. One point of concern; I'm not sure how long the brushes will last before replacement, or how expensive a new set will be. Time will tell. One other point to consider - leaves are bulky, and fill the container rather quickly, so you must dump pretty often - at least it's easy to do - just pull the cord and jiggle it a bit. One other point - sweep leaves when they are dry and fairly soon after they fall - this machine will not pick them up wet and matted.
