12 years ago I bought a Sears Lawnsweeper and wore it completely out. In searching for another lawnsweeper, I almost bought one on the internet because it "seemed" the same and was cheaper. After reading the reviews, I decided to buy another Sears product. That was a smart move. Evidently, Sears folks read the blogs because they have greatly improved assembly instructions and construction of the sweeper. I'm a 62 year old female and had no problem putting this together with the exception of the fabric hopper. I just needed another set of hands. The plastic plugs have been replaced with metal nuts and bolts. The height adjustment is greatly improved and is easy to adjust. I heartily recommend this product. One suggestion: It would be nice to be able to disengage the turning brushes from wheels as you travel to empty the hopper. A heavy load causes the brushes to stop rotation which causes the wheels to stop turning, meaning you drag non-turning wheels causing ruts. But, that's a small price to pay for an excellent machine! Thanks, Sears!

Make a clean sweep of leaves, grass clippings, lawn debris and more with a Craftsman sweeper. A universal fit attachment with a spring loaded adjustable height hitch pin connects quickly to any brands' tractor hitch plate. The cantilever hitch design (no caster wheels) give maximum traction and weight to the wheels for effective and efficient sweeping action.
