I bought this mower after we landscaped our small front yard. Eventually we will need to use it on the backyard.
It does a great job! For the price it is the only mower I found that mulches and I didn't have to buy a bag with it. It was great to be able to save money by excluding the bag and not deal with having to buy a mower that comes with one and then have to store it somewhere.
The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't seem to get right up to our side walk edges. I wish the deck extended a little further from the wheel base to get a better edge. Overall, that issue really hasn't been a problem, I am just a little particular.
The mulching option works great, and it is already setup right out of the box. For me this was a two-minute setup out of the box. Step one, unfold handle and tighten. No adjustment needed here for my height (5'10"), but it is adjustable. Step two, add oil that comes with the mower. Step three, add gass. Step four, prime 3 times and pull cord. Started right up!
Everytime I have gone to use the mower I prime it three times, pull cord, and it is starts the first time everytime. We have been storing it in our garage since we bought it. There are no strong odors from it, like I have experienced with previous mowers. So I do not feel like I have to have an outdoor storage place for it.
I would definately recommend this mower to anyone looking for a good mulching mower.
