I had these hose for many years. they last and flexible for daily watering and roll up in the reel. I bought 2 since my brother would like to have one. He paid a lot more from other brand. I will by 2 more this Saturday. I recommended to any one looking for a super great garden hose.
What can I say, other than it's a great hose for its price. It takes the outside elements well and I have yet to have any problems. After my first one I got another two just because I liked the quality so much. Only problem I see is that it is hard to wind up and maybe a bit heavier compared to the flimsy hoses.
I've been purchasing this type of craftsman 5/8 , 50 ft all rubber hose for over 20 years now. To date I've purchased about 6 or 7 of these and have been extremely happy with the use and longevity of service I've received over the years. Well made and extremely durable, all of the components of this model hose can withstand the rigors of daily use and survive the freezing and thawing cycles with water inside without breakage over the many years that I've used them. I'm very happy and feel the price / value is a great deal.... The only hose you'll ever have to buy ....
This is a decent hose with quality connectors. The matte rubber finish makes it easy to handle, and there is fairly low memory. I am concerned that being black it may overheat if left in the sun and deform, but no problems so far. The exterior also seems a little more prone to knicks and cuts, but is by no means delicate.
Bought this hose as a replacement for a similar Sears rubber hose that I ran over with my mower. A Sears rubber hose is long lasting, as long as you are careful with your mower.. Never had a problem with a rubber hose as I often did with the nylon ones which I frequently had to replace.
I have found this to be one of the most durable and reliable hoses I have ever owned.
This hose is recommended for anyone who is tired of buying new hoses every year. Last August I bought a vinyl non kink hose from a national home improvement chain paying over $30 only to see it totally kinked this year. After reading a lot of reviews I bought this hose for $20 and could not be happier. Highly recommend this over the any vinyl hose.
This hose won't kink like most green hoses available at garden stores. It is high quality rubber. It is heavier than what most people are used to, but the quality and durability more than make up for it.
I started off with the vinyl hose as a new homeowner trying to pinch pennies here and there. I had issues with the vinyl hose not being strong enough and not being user friendly, so I went ahead with this rubber hose and it is amazing. It does not fold over and clog and if it starts to, all i have to do is move the hose and it resets itself. I think the best thing about this hose is craftsman means forever. It will truly be the last hose I ever have to buy. $29.99 is well worth it.

Great for every house to have two or more.
I own four of these fifty-foot hoses on two separate hose caddies. The hoses have successfully made it through two summers of use and a harsh Wisconsin winter (stowed in garage). Other hoses I've had would kink up after being in such cold and then being brought out for spring. The couplings on the hoses are also very nice, I've ran over them with my truck and they still are like the day that I bought them.
My only complaint is that unless those hose is laid out in front of the hose caddy in a straight line it does not want to wind up on the reel because it is coming at it on an angle and...
read full review »I have had my hose 4 for years now and it has been the best hose I have ever purchased. I leave it rolled up on my fence year round and it is still in about as good shape as the day I bought it. No dry rot or anything and it has been in the weather since the day I got it.
I used to work at Sears as a part-timer and bought mine while I was there. I can remember people bringing some back that had been abused to get them replaced. That is the best part about the hose is the fact that they can be returned if anything ever happens to it. I need to buy another one because I need a bit more...
